Abstract
PURPOSE:To melt powdery iron source in raceway in the inner part of a blast furnace and to efficiently use the powdery iron source by changing blowing condition according to kind, grain size, flow rate, etc., of the blown powdery iron source. CONSTITUTION:Air 3 sent through a branch pipe 2 branching from a main pipe for plural blast branch pipe part 1 along the peripheral direction of the blast furnace is blown into the blast furnace from a blow pipe 5 fitted to a tuyere 4 for the blast furnace. Then, the powdery iron source is blown into the blast furnace with the blowing pipe 6, 7 opening in the pipe 5, and the pipe 6 is arranged at parallel with the axial center direction of the pipe 5 as movable to the same direction A, and the pipe 7 is arranged as inclining to the side wall of the pipe 5 as movable to the longitudinal direction B of the pipe 7. By this method, the distance from the end part of the pipes 6, 7 to the raceway developed inside of the tuyere 4 is adjusted to charge heating condition of the powdery iron source. Therefore, the variation of the heating condition is controlled according to the difficulty of fusing influenced with the kind, grain size, blowing flow rate, etc., of blowing powdery iron source.
