Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the cell production process by laminating a positive electrode black mix, a separator black mix, and a negative electrode black mix in turn and pressurizing them into a layer-shaped tablet, laminating multiple tablets via ion blocking electrodes, and impregnating them with an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A powdery positive electrode black mix 4, a separator black mix 5, and a negative electrode black mix 6 are filled in turn into a metal mold 1 and integrally pressurized and molded to obtain a layer-shaped tablet. This tablet is impregnated with an electrolyte 11 and inserted into a cell container 7, an electron conductive ion blocking electrode 12 is inserted on it, and layer-shaped tablets are again stacked by the above method. This is repeated several times, a cover 13 is put and sealed. The positive electrode black mix is constituted of a positive electrode active material such as manganese dioxide, a conductive agent such as acetylene black, and a binding agent such as polyethylene. Silicon dioxide or the like is used for the separator black mix, and the negative electrode black mix is constituted of a negative electrode active material made of hydrogen storing alloy and the above conductive agent and binding agent. A coin type laminated cell is thereby obtained with the simple process.
