Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the trip of a safety valve and the drift of an upper cover due to the rise of the pressure in a storage battery by coupling the upper cover provided with projections on its guide with a recess formed on a middle cover to fix the contact section between the upper cover and the middle cover. CONSTITUTION:A guide 2 and projections 3 are provided on an upper cover with a flat plate shape. The inner diameter of the portion of a middle cover 4 where the upper cover 1 is fitted is made smaller by about 0.2-0.3mm than the outer diameter of the periphery of the projections 3, and the upper cover 1 is coupled with the middle cover 4. The contact section between the upper cover 1 and the middle cover 4 is welded with ultrasonic waves or the like. The trip of a safety valve 5 and the drift of the upper cover 1 due to the rise of the pressure in a storage battery can be prevented according to this constitution.
