Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of electrolyte from a bush by pressing a plurality of projections provided on the periphery of the lead bush body to incline the projections to fit with the cover. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of projections 2b are provided on the periphery of a bush body 2a, and the bush body 2a is casted with a molded cover 1 to form a battery cover 9 combined with lead bush 2. The projections 2a of the casted bush body 2a are pressed with a caulking tool from a inclined direction toward the center and deformed to incline inwardly to form inclined projections 2b'. The inclined projections 2b' become nonparallel to the central projetion 2b, and resin layers 1a between the projections 2b, 2b' are prevented to move outward, thus, the liquid tightness can be kept effectively.
