Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a carbonaceous micro-cellular substance having a high surface frictional resistance, by mixing and dispersing bituminous particles in carbonaceous powder subjected to specific temperature history and charging the resultant mixture into an atmosphere at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:Bituminous particles are mixed and dispersed in carbonaceous powder previously subjected to temperature history at >=900 deg.C and the resultant mixture is then charged into an atmosphere at >=900 deg.C temperature to rapidly heat and expand the bituminous particles and fuse the carbonaceous powder to the surfaces of the expanded particles. The particle diameter of the carbonaceous micro-cellular substance is preferably 100-6,000mu. The micro-cellular substance having <100mu particle diameter are hard to industrially obtain. If the particle diameter exceeds 6,000mu, contact efficiency is deteriorated in using as an extract solution holding carrier for liquid-liquid extraction. The particle diameter ratio of the carbonaceous powder to the carbonaceous micro-cellular substance is preferably <=1/2. If the ratio exceeds 1/2, peeling of adhered parts readily occurs.
