Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A substance extremely magnetizable in a magnetic field in the magnetic force direction, such as ferrite or magnetic is used and this magnetic powder is mixed with a resin, such as epoxy resin, styrene resin, or rosin type resin in the range of 30W60wt% resin, when needed, mixed with a resistivity controller or the like, and molten and kneaded in a kneader or the like, thus the solid obtained after cooling is pulverized. Conductive particles such as carbon black is added to the pulverized particles, uniformly mixed and heat treated, to firmly attach the conductive particles to the toner particle surfaces, permitting formation of a magnetic toner having electric resistivity of 1×108Ω.cm or more near 5kV/cm and mean change rate of its electric resistivity of 2.5×108Ω.cmV-1 in absolute value or more.
