Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the electric resistivity of toner optimum and achieve the improvement in flow characteristic by covering the surfaces of granular material which contains coloring materials and binder and have the specific particle sizes with magnetite fine powder.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetite fine particle of preferably about 0.01 to 3μm in grain size is added and mixed at 2 to 30wt% to non-magnetic material particles containing coloring materials and binder of 0.5 to 100μm in particle size and are then subjected to heat treatment for a short time, whereby they are secured on the softened non-magnetic material particles. As a result, the electric resistivity becomes 105Ωcm or over and the distinct images having sufficient densities may be obtained in transfer of not only CPC toner but also about 108 to 1014Ωcm.
