Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a granular substance with strength inexpensively by a method wherein specific bulk density of a kneaded mixture prepared by kneading a powdery stock material is measured and a kneading condition is set from the measured value to deal with properties of the stock material.
CONSTITUTION: In kneading a powder stock material such as powdery iron ore or the like at first in a wet condition and, thereafter, granulating the resulting kneaded mixture, a bulk density of said kneaded mixture obtained by mixing the powder stock material and water is measured and, based on the obtained measured value, a kneading condition is set. Thereby, because the kneading condition can be set so as to respond to variation of properties of the powder stock material, a granular substance with high strength can be prepared inexpensively.
