PURPOSE: To mix uniformly blast furnace dust and steel making furnace dust, which are different remarkably in physical properties from each other, without using a large stirrer etc. and to store the mixture, by mixing iron-contg. dust discharged from a blast furnace and a steel making furnace in slurry, by mixing dry dust in addition, then by keeping the mixture in a specific concn. range.
CONSTITUTION: Dust pellets which are used as raw material for iron making are manufactured by mixing blast furnace dust and steel making furnace dust which are different remarkably in specific density, particle size distribution etc. from each other. In that case, blast furnace dust slurry of about 30% concn. and steel-making furnace dust slurry of about 30% concn. are fed respectively through a transferring pipe 2 for the blast furnace dust slurry, and a transferring pipe 3 for the steel making furnace dust slurry to a mixing tank 1, where both the slurries are mixed. At the same time, dry dust recovered from buildings or furnace top dust collector, or dehydrated dust made from slurry dust are added through a transferring pipe 4 to a mixing tank 1 to form a dust slurry of ≥32% concn. in whole.
