Abstract

PURPOSE: To make tablets to the optimum dried condition, and to heighten strength, by a method wherein pulverulent and granular materials are granulated according to a wet method, and dried leaving one part of wet granules, and dried granules are mixed with the wet granules so that the steam pressure of the whole granules be kept within a fixed range at the normal temperature.
CONSTITUTION: When adjusting the humidity of pulverulent and granular materials, such as, tablets, etc., the pulverulent and granular materials are granulated according to a wet method, residual granules are dried leaving one part of wet granules, and wet granules are mixed with dried granules, thus humidity is regulated in order that steam pressure that the whole granules indicate be kept within a range of 30W95% of the steam pressure of water in not more than steam pressure corresponding to the critical temperature of the whole granules at the normal temperature. The steam pressure that the whole granules indicate is obtained by relative humidity by means of a direct-reading hygrometer. When the one part of the wet granules is added to granules under a normal dried condition in a range of approximate 0.1W50%, the steam pressure that the whole granules indicate can be maintained within the range of 30W95% of the steam pressure of water.
