Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out the electric discharge machining for one large-sized work by two relatively small-sized electrodes by installing an electric discharge working controller which independently controls two electrode transferring means which holds two electrodes and separately transfers said electrodes in the directions of three axes X, Y and Z. CONSTITUTION:Two electrodes 24b which can be shifted in the directions of three axes X, Y, Z for one worktable 12 fixed onto a basic board 10 are installed. In order to hold these electrodes 24b and shift the corresponding electrodes 24b separately, two electrodes shifting means (MXa, MYa, MZa), (MXb, MYb, MZb) are installed, and two electrode transferring means (MXa, MYa, MZa), (MXb,MYb, MZb) are independently drive-controlled by the electric discharge controllers (26a, 26b), and two electrodes 24b are properly shifted over the whole working regions X, Y, Z, and one large-sized work on the table 12 is applied with the electric discharge machining in parallel at the same time by two electrodes 24b.
