Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive body having high sensitivity and superior potential stability during repeated use by incorporating a specified disazo pigment into a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A disazo pigment represented by formula I is incorporated into a photosensitive layer. In the formula I, each of R1 and R2 is H atom or cyano group, each of R3-R6 is H atom, alkyl group, etc., n=0 or 1 and A and A' are different coupler residues each having a phenolic hydroxyl group and may be represented by formula II (where X is a residue required to form a polycyclic arom. ring or a heterocyclic ring by condensation with a benzene ring and each of R7 and R8 is H atom, aryl group, etc. Thus, superior sensitivity, durability, practical high sensitivity characteristics and stable potential characteristics during repeated use are obtd.
