Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an arrester on a phase of a deteriorated element specifiable inexpensively and simply by determining a synthetic wave form of only resistance component currents on respective phases in a three-phase arrester and superposing this synthetic wave and a reverse polarity wave so as to specify a phase of the deteriorated arrester. CONSTITUTION:Arresters 21 to 23 are connected with respective phases 11 to 13, and their earth sides are earthed commonly through a current detector 44, and besides a superposed current generator 55 is connected with a secondary side of a voltage transformer 50 connected with the respective phases 11 to 13, with a switch 54 in between. Capacitor component currents included into the currents on the respective phases 11 to 13 are erased to determine a synthetic wave form of only resistance component currents in the detector 44. A conductor 55a on an output side of the generator 55 is also made to penetrate into an iron core of this detector 44. When the switch 54 is closed, respective phase voltages obtained on secondary conductors 51 to 53 of the transformer 50 are fetched in the form of reverse polarities into the generator 55, and consequently currents, which are identical in their wave forms with the current on a deterioration level and reverse in their polarities to the currents on the respective phases, are supplied in phase order to the generator 55. Accordingly the deterioration phase can be specified by the operation of the switch 54.
