Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a wear resistant alloy layer with an uniform structure without segregation with satisfactory productivity by forming the wear resistant alloy layer by the welding using a filler wire made of Cu or Cu alloy. CONSTITUTION:With the wear resistance treating method, the wear resistant alloy layer is formed by the welding using the filler wire made of the Cu or Cu alloy in the wear resistance treatment of the Al alloy surface. It is preferable to form the filler wire diameter to <= about 1.2mm and the stable welding is made possible with a welding source with the low power source capacity and the fusion of the wire becomes surer and the alloy layer with the uniform structure is easily obtained. It is more effective to add >=1 kind among Al, Si and Mg as components except Cu in the filler wire and the fusion at the time of welding becomes further easy and sure thereby and the hardness is increased by the heat treatment after welding and the wear resistance can be still further improved.
