Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-exchanger fin material capable of making a heat exchanger lightweight, capable of providing economical efficiency, and excellent in corrosion resistance, by forming a diffusion layer of Zn or Zn alloy on the surface of a fin material consisting of a heat-resisting Cu-alloy bar having high electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION:Zn or Zn alloy is allowed to adhere by means of plating, etc., to the surface of a fin material consisting of a Cu-alloy bar and then diffusion treatment is applied to the above at about 200-500 deg.C, by which a diffusion layer of Zn or Zn alloy is formed on the surface of the above fin material. As the above Cu-alloy bar, the heat-resisting one with >=80% IACS electric conductivity is used. Further, it is preferable that the thickness of the above diffusion layer and the electric conductivity of the fin material after Zn diffusion are regulated to <=0.015mm and >=80% IACS, respectively. By this method, the heat-exchanger fin material combining high strength with superior characteristics of heat radiation, showing excellent corrosion resistance, improving the service life of heat exchanger, and capable of making heat exchanger lightweight and compact can be obtained.
