The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing wax contained in oil and fat obtained from sunflower seeds. Today, there are many seed raw materials for tempura oil and salad oil, including soybeans, rapeseed, corn, cottonseed, safflower, peanuts, and sesame seeds, but in recent years, demand for oils and fats with high linoleic acid content has increased, and oils and fats obtained from sunflower seeds have increased. Sunflower oil also began to be used. However, the lipids obtained from sunflower seeds contain wax, and when refined into salad oil, these waxes are removed through processes such as wintering and are not used effectively. This is the actual situation. The composition of sunflower wax is based on the journal of
Journal of the American Oil
As shown in Chemists' Society ( 48 629 Oct, 1971), most monoesters are composed of higher saturated aliphatic alcohols and higher saturated fatty acids. However, until now little is known about its effective use. As a result of various studies, the present inventors discovered that the wax obtained from the above-mentioned sunflower seeds has extremely excellent properties as an oil and fat component of cosmetics, and based on this knowledge, the present invention was completed. . That is, the present invention is a cosmetic composition characterized by incorporating wax contained in an oil component obtained from sunflower seeds. Sunflower wax is obtained by concentrating an oil with a high wax content that is separated by wintering or the like during the production of salad oil, as described above. As a concentration method, separation using a polymer membrane, fractionation using a solvent such as acetone or methyl ethyl ketone, etc. can be used. Concentrated sunflower wax can be treated with commonly used purification methods to remove color and odor, and purification conditions can be freely selected depending on the purpose. The main components of the sunflower wax obtained in this way are monoesters of higher saturated fatty acids and higher saturated fatty acid alcohols, and although it varies depending on the sunflower wax concentration and purification method, it is usually a solid with a monoester content of 40% or more. It becomes a substance. Approximately 60% of the higher saturated fatty acids that make up the monoesters are 20 and 22 carbon arachidic and pehenic acids, while approximately 60% of the higher aliphatic alcohols are 22, 24 and 26 carbon docosanol, tetra It consists of cosanol and hexacosanol. In other words, the main ingredients are higher saturated fatty acids with carbon numbers of 20 or more and monoesters of higher saturated alcohols, and they have better luster than carnauba wax, candelilla wax, spermaceti wax, montan wax, etc. traditionally used in cosmetics, and are resistant to oxidation. It is stable and produces a wax with good color and odor. Furthermore, sunflower wax does not cause skin irritation, and the cosmetics used therein have increased gloss, spread well on the skin, and have an excellent feel when used. Furthermore, since the main components are monoesters of saturated fatty acids and saturated alcohols having 20 or more carbon atoms, they have a high melting point, raising the melting point of stick-like cosmetics and imparting temperature stability. Therefore, carnauba wax, chianderilla wax, spermaceti wax, montan wax, beeswax, which were conventionally used in cosmetics,
Part or all of lanolin etc. can be replaced and used. Examples of manufacturing sunflower wax and examples of the present invention are shown below. Example of manufacturing sunflower wax 1 Sunflower oil obtained by solvent extraction, degumming, deacidification, and decolorization of sunflower seeds in the usual manner is winterized at 5°C to make 5 kg of separated wax (monoester content 6.5%). Add 5 times the volume of acetone, stir at room temperature for 30 minutes, and then separate. Obtained wax 405
(monoester content 78%) was decolorized and deodorized in a conventional manner to obtain purified wax. General properties are acid value 1.5, saponification value 108, iodine value 25.1, melting point 43-57
℃, and the chromaticity (Gardner) was 3. Production Example 2 of Sunflower Wax 5 kg of wax separated from the wintering in Production Example 1 was added with 5 times the amount of methyl ethyl ketone and extracted twice. 345 g of the obtained wax (monoester content 96%) was purified in the same manner as in Production Example 1. The general properties were an acid value of 2.1, a saponification value of 89, an iodine value of 6, a melting point of 53 to 71°C, and a chromaticity (Gardner) of 3. Example 1 (Cleansing cream)
