Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は磁気ディスク装置に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
一般にボイスコイル型の磁気ディスク装置では、磁気ヘ
ッドの急速な駆動のためボイスコイルに数アンペア、時
には１０アンペアを超える電流を流す。このだめ、ボイ
スコイルは発熱し、時には焼損することもある。
このボイスコイルの焼損事故を防ぐため、従来の装置で
は、第２図に示す様な保護回路を設けている。パワーア
ンプ１１はボイスコイル１２に必要な電流を流す電流ア
ンプで、ボイスコイル１２に流れる電流は、電流検出器
１３で検出される。
電流検出器１３は通常抵抗器がよく用いられるがボイス
コイル１２に流れる電流に比した信号を積分器１４に送
る。積分器１４は電流検出器を信号を積分するが、この
積分した値はボイスコイルで消費される電力に比例した
値となる。この積分器１４の出力は比較器１５に入力さ
れ、この値がある値（Ｖｒｅｙ）を超えた時、言いかえ
れば、ボイスコイルで消費される電力がある値を超えた
時、遮断回路１６によってボイスコイルに流す電流を遮
断する。
この様にして、ボイスコイルで消費される電力、言いか
えれば発熱量がある値を越えると、電流を遮断し熱損事
故等を防止している。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
上述した従来装置では、ボイスコイルに流れる電流を積
分してボイスコイルでの発熱量を推定したが、この積分
には誤差が大きいため、確実に防止することの出来ない
欠点を有している。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明では、温度検出器をボイスコイルに設け、この温
度検出器の信号によりボイスコイル流れる電流を遮断す
る回路を有している。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の実施例のブロック図である。
パワーアンプ１はボイスコイル３に必要な電流を流す電
流アンプである。温度検出器４はボイスコイル３の温度
を検出し、比較器５はこの温度検出器４の信号がある値
（Ｖｒｅｆ）を超えると遮断回路２を動作させ、ボイス
コイル３に流れる電流を遮断する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように１本発明は、ボイスコイルに温度検
出器を有し、直接ボイスコイルの温度を測定することで
、ボイスコイルに流れる電流を遮断するととＫよシ、確
実にボイスコイル焼損事故を防ぐことができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ボイスコイルに設けられた温度検出器と、前記温度検出
    器の信号により、ボイスコイルへの電流供給を禁止する
    回路とを有することを特徴とする磁気ディスク装置。
