Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (技術分野) 本発明は、複数枚のワークを重ねて加圧して赤外線の加
熱により接着する赤外線ヒートシール装置に関する。
(従来技術) 従来、シート状のワークを熱圧着するヒートシール装置
として、第4図に示すような赤外線ヒートノール装置が
提案されている。この赤外線ヒートシール装置は、テー
ブル20上の加圧ヘッド21でワーク22の接着部22
aをガラス板23の下面に加圧した状態で、赤外線ヒー
タ24からの赤外線25を、マスク部材26のスリット
26aおよびガラス板23を通してワーク22の接着部
22aに照射するようになっている。
上記構成において、マスク部材26は、不要な赤外線の
透過を防止するために設けられているが、これだけでは
、不要な赤外線の遮断が充分に行なわれず、ガラス板2
3を通った赤外線の一部かワーク22の接着部22aの
かたわらに回り込み、このことにより、その部分にある
電子部品27等が熱劣化を起こしたり、焼損ずろ場合が
あった。
(発明の目的) 本発明は、上記問題点を解決するためになされた乙ので
、赤外線がワークの接着部のかたわらに回り込むのを防
止して、その部分にある電子部品等を上記赤外線から保
護しうる赤外線ヒートシール装置を提供ずろことを目的
とする。
(発明の構成) 」二足目的を達成するため、本発明は、赤外線ヒータと
、赤外線透過用のスリットを有するマスク部材と、スリ
ットの赤外線出口側でワークに接するガラス板とを有す
る赤外線ヒートシール装置において、前記ガラス板に、
赤外線透過領域を規制する遮光膜を形成した。
(実施例) 第1図および第2図は、本発明の一実施例に係る赤外線
ヒートシール装置を示す。
これらの図において、ワークlの受は部としてのガラス
板2は、マスク部材4の下面に設けられている。マスク
部材4は、赤外線透過用のスリット3を有して水平状に
配置されており、スリット3の底部、つまり赤外線出口
が前記ガラス板2により閉塞されている。符号5は、ワ
ークlの加圧接触部となるゴム材で、このゴム材5は、
ホルダ6によりガラス板2の下面と平行に配置されてい
る。ホルダ6は上下に移動しうるテーブル7上に設けら
れている。テーブル7の中央部は、エアシリンダ8のピ
ストンロッド8aで昇降自在に支持され、かつテーブル
7の両端部には、昇降用のガイド機構9.9゛か形成さ
れている。これらゴム材5、ボルダ6、テーブル7およ
びエアシリンダ8は、受は部であるガラス板2とともに
、ワークlに対する加圧部を構成している。
加熱部は赤外線ヒータ10で構成され、この赤外線ヒー
タ10は、これからの赤外線11がスリット3およびガ
ラス板2を通る向きに設定されるとと乙に、スリット2
の長さ方向に、つまり矢印Sの方向にガイドレール12
に沿って移動自在とされている。
ところで、上記ガラス板2の片側下面には、第3図にも
示すように、赤外線透過領域を規制する遮光膜13′h
(クロームメッキ膜により形成されている。
なお、ワークlの種類は問わないが、この例では、大型
フラットパネル1aとフレキシブルプリント基[141
とをワークとしている。14は電子部品で、パネル1a
と接着部1cの近傍で基板tbに装着されている。
次に、この実施例の作用を列挙する。
■重ね合わせたパネル1aと基板1bの接着部ICを、
その近傍の電子部品14が遮光膜13側となるように、
ゴム材5に乗せてピストンロッド8aを上昇させ、ゴム
材6とガラス板2の間で接着部1cを加圧する。
■赤外線ヒータlOをガイドレール12に沿ってその一
端側から他端側に定速移動しながら、赤外線ヒータlO
から赤外線11を照射することにより、上記接着部IC
を所定長さにわたって加熱する。その際、ガラス板2の
遮光膜I3により、赤外線11の透過領域が規制され、
ワークlの接着部1cのかたわらにある電子部品14へ
の赤外線11の回り込みが防止される。
■赤外線11による加熱は停止するが、接着部lcの加
圧は続行した状態で、自然冷却、またはエア等の冷却用
ガスの噴射(その手段の図示は省略した)により接着部
ICを冷却する。
■ピストンロッド8aを下降して、ゴム材5による接着
部1cの加圧を解除することにより、パネルIaと基板
1bの接若を終了する。
なお、本発明の変形例として、ガラス板2およびマスク
部材4の側にエアシリンダを設け、とゴム材5との立場
を入れかえて、ガラス板2およびマスク部材4を可動と
し、ゴム材5を固定の受は部としてらよい。
(発明の効果) 本発明の赤外線ヒートシール装置によれば、ワークに接
触した状態で赤外線ヒータからの赤外線を透過さ仕るガ
ラス板に、赤外線透過領域を規制する遮光膜を形成した
ので、この遮光膜により、赤外線がワークの接着部のか
たわらに回り込むのを確実に防止することができ、これ
によって、接着部の近傍にある電子部品等の熱劣化や焼
損を回避することができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)赤外線ヒータと、赤外線透過用のスリットを有す
    るマスク部材と、前記スリットの赤外線出口側でワーク
    に接するガラス板とを有する赤外線ヒートシール装置に
    おいて、 前記ガラス板に、赤外線透過領域を規制する遮光膜を形
    成したことを特徴とする赤外線ヒートシール装置。
