Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は画像ファイリングシステムに係り、特に家庭内
の画像情報のファイリングに好適な電子アルバムシステ
ムに関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来のアルバムは、紙上に記録された画像を保存するも
のであった。しかし、ビデオカメラとビデオテープレコ
ーダ等で構成されるビデオ機器。
電子スチルカメラ等の電子画像機器からの画像情報は、
記録媒体に記録することを基本とし、これを紙上に記録
することも可能であるが、記録媒体から得られる電気信
号として画像を保存すると、画質劣化もないので、理想
的である。この場合の問題の１つとして、画像の検索性
がある。従来の画像検索の一例として、電子スチルカメ
ラ内で索引情報を与えるシステムが特開昭５７−１２４
３６４号に述べられている。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
用的ではなく、電子スチルカメラ内のマイクロコンピュ
ータなどで自動的に付与できる写真撮影日時を付与する
のみとすべきである。
一方、ビデオ機器、電子スチルカメラ等で画像情報を記
録した記録媒体をそのまま保存する場合には、記録媒体
が予想外に空間を必要とし、整理整頓等の作業を必要と
する。また、これらの記録媒体は磁気記録を基本として
おり、長期的には記録レベルの低下があり、磁石等によ
る瞬間的な消磁も起り得る。
以上のように、従来技術は家庭内で保管される画像情報
の保管とその検索について配慮されておらず、多量の画
像情報を容易に検索できる保管ができないという問題が
あった。
本発明の目的は、家庭内で保管したい多量の画像情報を
容易に検索できる清秋で電気的に保管する電子アルバム
システムを提供することにある。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
上記の目的は、各種の画像記録媒体から画像情報を電気
的に読出し、索引情報を付加して大容量の画像ファイル
へ遂次記録することで達成される。
〔作用〕
ファイルリーダで各種の画像記録媒体から画像情報を読
込み、この画像情報に索引情報を付加した後に、大容量
の画像ファイルへ遂次記録するので、この画像ファイル
で家庭内の多量の画像情報を容易に検索できる状態で一
括保管することができる。
〔実施例〕
以下１本発明の一実施例を第１図及び第２図により説明
する。
第１図は本発明になる電子アルバムの一実施例を示す外
観図である。また、第２図は第１図の電子アルバムの構
成と信号の流れを示すブロック図である。
電子スチルカメラの画像記録媒体は約２インチの磁気デ
ィスクで、ディスク１枚に約５０枚の画像がアナログ信
号で記録されている。この画像記録媒体から、ファイル
リーダ手段となるディスクリーダ１を用いて画像情報を
読取り、ディスクリーダ１内でディジタル信号に変換し
た後に１画像メモリ８に収納され、液晶、ＥＬ、ＥＣＤ
等の平面ディスプレイ９に表示される。ここで、入力手
段となるコンソール５に付属するキーボード６から索引
情報を入力し、制御部７を介して、画像メモリ上の画像
情報に索引情報を付加し、これらを追記型光ディスク等
の不揮発性電子ファイル１０に遂次記録する。
ビデオテープレコーダ、ビデオディスク、ビデオカメラ
等の画像は、ビデオ入力端子２からビデオインタフェー
ス３へ入力し、ここでアナログのビデオ信号をディジタ
ル化して９画像メモリ８に収納され、ディスプレイ９に
表示する。ビデオ入力端子２から入力されるビデオ画像
は時間的に連続した画像であり、どの画像を画像メモリ
８に収納するかの選定が芝しく、選定前にはビデオスル
ースイッチ１５を入れて、ビデオ入力端子２から入力さ
れるビデオ画像をそのままディスプレイ９に表示し、画
像を選定するとビデオスルースイッチ１５を切り、画像
メモリ８の画像をディスプレイ９に表示する。ここで、
コンソール５に付属するキーボード６から索引情報を入
力し、画像メモリ上の画像情報に索引情報を付加し、こ
れらをファイル１０に遂次記録する。
写真、絵２文書等の画像は、イメージリーダ４のガラス
板上に置き、光電変換で画像情報を電気信号に変換し１
画像メモリ８に収納し、ディスプレイ９に表示する。こ
れに索引情報を付して、フアイル１０に遂次記録する。
イメージリーダ４で写真等の画像を読取る場合は、ディ
スクリーダ１とビデオインタフェース３の場合と異なり
、画像の寸法９画像の読取り精度等の情報を与える必要
がある。然るに、家庭での使用を考慮すると、できる限
り、自動設定が望ましい、そこで、良く使用される寸法
である手札版、キャビネ版、Ａ５版。
８５版、Ａ４版、８４版、Ａ３版等を決めておき、読取
り画像が収まる最小寸法を白色以外が出現す画像の読取
り精度は、ディスプレイ９とプリンタ１１の精度を参考
にし、従来技術も考慮して、１５０画素／インチ（約６
画素／層）から８００画素／インチ（約３２画素／ｍ）
の適当な値を自動設定する。また、画像を表１のどれで
あるかを自動認識し、画像情報を縮小する。情報量は表
１に白黒２値画を１とした比率で示した。これから明ら
かなように２値画（その色が有るか無いか）の情報量は
少ない。
表　　１ 以上のように各種の家庭内の画像情報を切換スイッチ１
４を切換えて、ディスクリーダ１．ビデオインタフェー
ス、イメージリーダ４の内から適切な画像読込み部を選
択し、どのような画像も索引を付加して、大容量のファ
イル１０に収録することができる。
このようにして索引情報を付加して大容量のファイル１
０に収録し、収録した画像を利用することになる。索引
情報として、例えば家庭での使用に限定すると、画像を
生成した日時と画像に関連する名靜は重要である０日時
に関しては正確であることが好ましいが、使用者が設定
すべきものである。一方で画像に関連する名前は一つで
はなく。
画像中の人名をすべて索引情報として設定できるように
可変長索引とすることが望ましい。更には、索引情報の
修正を許すような構成が好ましい、これらを考慮した索
引情報の収録方法を第３図に示す、先頭アドレスから最
終アドレスまでのアドレスに画像情報が収録されている
。画像の種類は表１に示した分類を記入する０日時とし
て、年月日時分秒を記入し、索引情報としてキーボード
６から画像に関連する人物名、場所等を入力する。後続
アドレスは、書換えできないファイルの場合に。
ことはない。第３図でキーボード６カ；ら人手により入
力する項目は、索引情報のみであり、さほど面倒ではな
い。
このようにして入力された索引情報で画像を検索するが
、概略の日時を含む索引情報で画像を探すことになり、
一定時間毎に索引情報に合致する画像を交換して表示す
る連続頁めくりモードを設定すると便利である。また、
２枚、４枚の画像を１枚の画像に構成して表示する写真
アルバムモードを設定し、これと連続頁めくりモードを
併用すると検索が容易である。このような検索中の画像
は編集１６で形成され、ディスプレイ９に表示する。必
要な画像が見つかれば、それをディスプレイ９に表示し
、そのハードコピーはプリンタ１１から得られる。また
、別の表示装置へ表示する、または画像情報を別の装置
へ転送する等の場合は。

されている画像と画像の合成、キーボード６から入力さ
れる文字情報との合成等が可能となり１合成後の画像を
再びファイル１０内に収録したり、プリンタ１１からハ
ードコピーとして出力することができる。
ファイル１０は、高速性よりも容量が大きいことが重要
で、追記型光ディスクは情報の保存性からも容量からも
好ましい。しかし、磁気ディスク等の記録ファイルも垂
直磁気記録を使用し、定期的にリフレッシュすれば、本
発明の目的に合致する。
第４図に本発明になる電子アルバムの電気回路の概要を
示す。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明によれば、家庭内で発生する画像情報を容易に、
かつ多量に索引情報を付して収録することができ、また
索引情報によって容易に検索することができる。収録画
像は、光ファイルを用いた場合、一般のカラー写真で１
万枚／ファイルであり、家庭で使用するに十分である。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、電子スチルカメラで録画された記録媒体の画像情報
    を読取るファイルリーダ手段及び／またはビデオ機器か
    らの画像情報を入力するビデオインプット手段、入力画
    像情報に索引情報を付加するエディタ手段、索引情報の
    少なくとも一部を使用者が入力しうる入力手段、索引情
    報を付加した入力画像情報を遂次記録し索引情報に従つ
