Decorative plywood has been known in which the color pattern of the surface of natural wood is imitated on the surface of plywood. The manufacturing method for such decorative plywood includes, for example, printing all the color patterns on the surface of natural wood on paper, pasting this printed paper on a base plate, and then applying a transparent coating on the printed paper, or directly applying it to the base plate. There is a method of printing the above-mentioned color pattern on the surface and then applying a transparent coating in the same way.

By the way, when printing colored patterns with these methods, in addition to the large blurred wood grain pattern (background pattern), fine colored patterns such as conduit opening traces and shadows of recesses are also printed. Due to printing technology, these patterns are expressed as a collection of extremely small dots, so they lack a sense of reality when made into decorative plywood. In addition, since the printing surface is smooth, the thickness of the topcoat transparent film is uniform, giving it a flat surface with no unevenness of natural wood, which is far from the real feeling of natural wood. Ta.

This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and it is possible to express fine and sharp color patterns, especially those of conduit traces, with a rich sense of reality among the surface patterns of natural wood, and to enhance the texture of natural wood. This provides a method for manufacturing decorative plywood that can be reproduced well.

Next, on the surface of the wood grain printing paper 5 of this material 3,
A curable resin liquid 6 is applied as shown in FIG. As the curable resin liquid 6, uncured liquids of solvent-free crosslinkable synthetic resins such as liquid unsaturated polyester resins, liquid diallyl phthalate resins, and liquid epoxy resins are used, especially transparent or translucent ones. is preferred. Moreover, the coating thickness of this resin liquid 6 is preferably 200 to 400 μm. Then, before the curable resin liquid 6 has hardened, as shown in FIG. Align and overlap. At this time, as shown in FIG. 5, a large amount of resin liquid 6 is poured on one side of the material 3, and the mold 2 is placed over the part where the resin liquid 6 is poured.
When the mold 2 is pressed lightly with the roller 7 and the mold 2 is successively stacked on the other side, air bubbles are not drawn into the interface between the mold 2 and the resin liquid 6, and the work is easy and efficient.

This integral part 9 has a cured resin 8 formed by the mold 2 to have an uneven pattern that faithfully copies the uneven pattern of the natural wood 1, and furthermore, this uneven pattern and the color printed on the wood grain printing paper 5. The patterns match due to the above positioning, and the wood grain pattern excluding fine colored patterns such as conduit traces becomes extremely similar to the wood grain pattern of the natural wood 1.

Next, as shown in FIG. 7, a coloring material 10 is applied onto the uneven surface of the cured resin 8 of the integrated object 9. As the coloring material 10, a resin liquid is used in which a polyurethane resin or the like that has adhesive properties to the cured resin 8 is mixed with a coloring pigment and an extender pigment such as talc or diatomaceous earth. It is determined as appropriate depending on the printed color pattern, product finish, product use, etc. And this coloring material 10

After the colorant 10 adhering to the recesses of the cured resin 8 is solidified, a transparent mirror resin film 12 is integrally formed on the cured resin 8, as shown in FIG. 10, to obtain the desired decorative plywood 13. It will be done. The transparent mirror resin film 12 is formed by applying a paint such as a transparent unsaturated polyester resin paint or a diallyl phthalate resin paint onto the cured resin 8 using a well-known method such as a flow coater method or a spray method so that the film thickness is about 0.2 to 0.5 mm. The surface of the resulting coating film is air-sanded, wet-sanded, and then buffed and polished to give it a mirror finish.

In this way, the decorative plywood 13 having the texture of natural wood 1 is obtained by the printed pattern of the wood grain printing paper 5 of the bottom layer, the color pattern of the coloring material 10 in the recesses of the intermediate layer, and the uneven pattern of the intermediate layer.

According to the manufacturing of the decorative plywood 13 as described above, the colored patterns such as minute conduit traces are formed by the mold 2 in the hardened resin 8.
Since the image is represented by the uneven pattern formed in the area and the coloring material 10 that fills the concave portions of the uneven pattern, it is reproduced with remarkable sharpness. Further, as shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 11, the surface of the transparent mirror resin film 12 in contact with the cured resin 8 is an uneven surface, and in particular, the portion corresponding to the recess filled with the coloring material 10 is a convex curved surface. Therefore, the transparent mirror resin film 12 in this area becomes a kind of convex lens, and the lens effect emphasizes the color pattern created by the coloring material 10 in the concave portion, giving a sense of reality to the fine color pattern. Furthermore, by providing a relatively thick transparent mirror-like resin film 12 on the entire surface of the cured resin 8, the depth position between the printed pattern on the wood grain printing paper 5 and the pattern formed by the coloring material 10 in the concave portions of the cured resin 8 is made up. When viewed from the surface of the plywood 1, they are relatively close to each other, thereby reducing the unnatural feeling of the entire color pattern, increasing the sense of reality, and further increasing the depth and wetness of the color pattern. Furthermore, since the entire surface of the decorative plywood 13 is covered with the smooth transparent mirror resin film 12, it has excellent performance as a decorative material.

In the above embodiments, the material 3 used was one in which the wood grain printing paper 5 was attached to the surface of the base plate 4, but the material 3 is not limited to this, and the base plate 4 may be directly printed with a color pattern, or it can be provided with flame resistance. To do this, a thin iron plate is attached to the base plate 4, titanium paper, etc. is attached to this, and a color pattern is printed on this, or titanium paper, etc. is attached to the base plate 4, and a photosensitive layer is formed on the surface of the plate. A material having a colored pattern formed by coloring treatment can be used as appropriate. Further, instead of the method using the squeegee 11 shown in FIG. 8, a method of wiping with a cloth such as a waste cloth, a method using a reverse roll, etc. may be adopted. Furthermore, wiping coloring may be performed in which the uneven surface of the cured resin 8 is rubbed with a cloth impregnated with the coloring material 10 and the coloring material 10 is pushed into the recesses. Also, the first
As shown in Figure 2, the concave portion of the cured resin 8 is filled with a coloring material 10.
After filling this surface with polyurethane paint or the like, an intermediate layer 14 having a thickness of 10 to 30 μm may be formed, and then a transparent mirror-like resin film 12 may be formed on this intermediate layer 14. By providing this intermediate layer 14, the adhesion between the cured resin 8 and the transparent mirror resin film 12 is improved, and bleeding of the colorant 10 is prevented, which is preferable. Furthermore, although the surface of the transparent mirror resin film 12 is ground and polished in the above example, if the surface of the coating film is sufficiently smooth and a mirror surface can be created, such as in the film method for manufacturing polyester plywood, then grinding and polishing may be necessary. Needless to say, there is no such thing.

As explained above, the method for manufacturing decorative plywood of the present invention involves applying a hardening resin liquid onto a material that has a colored pattern from which fine colored patterns such as conduit traces have been removed from the colored pattern of natural wood. A mold with a natural wood pattern imprinted on it is pressed against a curable resin liquid to form an uneven pattern, a coloring material is attached to the recesses of this uneven pattern, and a transparent mirror resin film is formed on top of this. Therefore, fine color patterns such as conduit traces are sharply reproduced, and the realism of the fine color patterns is emphasized by the lens effect of the transparent mirror resin film, and the color pattern as a whole has a sense of realism, depth, and wetness. As a result, the resulting decorative plywood has a texture that is much closer to natural wood than conventional products, has excellent design properties, and can be suitably used for high-end furniture and building materials. .
