Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は、ポリオレフィン樹脂成形品相互間の接着、ポ
リオレフィン樹脂成形品と多孔質素材もしくは粗表面素
材の接着、及び多孔質素材もしくは粗表面素材相互間の
接着に高周波透電力ロ熱を用いた接着方法に関する。
(従来技術) 、l? IJオレフィン系樹脂成形品の接着には、従来
より、接着剤を用いる方法と熱風、熱板、超音波による
融着法が広く用いられている。しかしながら、前者はポ
リオレフィン樹脂が無極性のため事前に表面処理を必要
とし、接着力も弱いという欠点がある。後者の熱風、熱
板融着法は、成形品の表面からの伝熱で溶融させるため
、加熱が不均一、加熱に時間がかかる、選択的な加熱が
行ないずらい、成形品の形状が限定される等の欠点があ
り、超音波融着法は、紙等の多孔質素材は超音波吸収体
であるため接着が出来ない、広い面積での接着が出来な
い等の欠点がある。
一方、前述の欠点を解消出来る接着方法として高周波ウ
エルダー、マイクロ波加熱器等の高周波融着法があるが
、高周波誘電加熱を加熱原理としているため、無極性の
ポリオレフィン樹脂成形品の接着には利用出来ない。こ
のため、ポリオレフィン樹脂成形品の接着に、高周波誘
電加熱を利用すべ〈従来よυ研究がなされている。例え
ば特開昭49−74275号ではポリオレフィン樹脂に
溶接補助剤を配合した溶接材料を、ポリオレフィン樹脂
成形品の間にはさみ高周波を印加する方法が、又、特開
昭54−161645号では高周波加熱接着材として、
ポリオレフィン樹脂に強誘電体及び又は含水アルミノケ
イ酸塩を配合したもの及び前記配合に更に強磁性体を配
合したものが提案されている。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) しかしながら、前記の方法では溶接助剤として、アルコ
ール類、エステル類等の有機化合物、ナイロン等の高分
子物質、チタン酸・々リウム、結晶水含有無機化合物等
の無機化合物が提案されているが、高周波印加から融着
までの時間が非常に長くかかり、そのため被着体が薄い
シート状の高分子物質の場合、製品表面までが溶融して
しまうという欠点があった。また後者は強誘電体として
チタン酸ノ々リウム等含水アルミノケイ酸塩として合成
ゼオライト等強磁性体としてγ−酸化鉄等が提案されて
いるが、高周波で短時間に加熱融着するにはポリオレフ
ィン中に多量に混入する必要があり、そのためポリオレ
フィン樹脂成形品以外の物品への接着強度の低下が見ら
れ、特に紙、布、不織布等の多孔質素材を被着体へ植え
込むことが困難であった。又、ゼオライト等の含水アル
ミノケイ酸塩は可逆的に水分を出し入れするため該接着
材の成形から接着までの時間、湿度等の影響を受け、水
分含有率が変動するため加熱温度ムシが起き易いし、γ
−酸化鉄等の強磁性体はポリオレフィン樹脂との配合時
に混線機、押出機の摩耗が大きい等の問題が残されてい
る。
(問題点を解決するだめの手段) 本発明者らは、前記欠点を改良すべく鋭意研究した結果
本発明に到達した。
すなわち本発明は、一対のポリオレフィン樹脂成形品相
互間の接着及びポリオレフィン樹脂成形品と多孔質素材
もしくは粗表面素材の接着、及び多孔質素材もしくは粗
表面素材同志の接着において、接着部位の形状に対応し
た形状に成形されたポリオレフィン樹脂と炭素粉末とを
必須成分としてなる高周波融着材を前記被着体の間に挾
み高周波を印加することによって、該高周波融着材を選
択的に加熱溶融し、前記被着体を融着することを特徴と
する高周波誘電加熱によるポリオレフィン樹脂成形品の
接着方法を提供するものである。
本発明で用いられる高周波融着材は、被着体であるポリ
オレフィン樹脂成形品、多孔質素材、及び粗表面素材の
被着面の形状に応じて、フィルム状、シート状、線状他
の形状にプレス、フィルム、シート、押出、射出その他
の各種成形法によシ成形され、該被着体の間に挾み使用
される。
本発明における高周波融着材の必須成分とじてのポリオ
レフィン樹脂としては、エチレン、ゾロピレン、ブテン
等のモノオレフィンの重合体および共重合体を主成分と
するもので、たとえば高密度ポリエチレン、中、低密度
ポリエチレン、線状低密度ポリエチレン、結晶性ポリプ
ロピレン、結晶性エチレン−プロピレンブロック共重合
体、結晶性エチレン−プロピレンランダム共重合体、ポ
リブテン−1、ポリ−メチルペンテン−1がある。
まだ、エチレンを主とするオレフィン類と不飽和カルボ
ン酸もしくはその酸無水物との共重合体もしくはその金
属塩、エステル化物、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、
エチレン−アクリル酸エステル共重合体及び上記ポリオ
レフィン系樹脂釦不飽和カルゼン酸もしくはその酸無水
物をグラフト共重合ないし変性したもの等などで、不飽
和カルボン酸もしくはその酸無水物としては、アクリル
酸、メタクリル酸、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、フマ
ール酸、イタコン酸、無水イタコン酸、メサコン酸、シ
トラコン酸、クロトン酸、インクロトン酸、アンゲリカ
酸、ソルビン酸、ビニル酢酸、ハイミック酸、無水ハイ
ミック酸等が可能である。
これらポリオレフィン樹脂は単独で使用してもよいし、
二種以上の混合物として使用してもよい。
前記例示中、特にポリオレフィン樹脂以外の極性被着物
との接着を行なう場合は、カルゼキシル基もしくは酸無
水物基を含有するポリオレフィン樹脂を使用するのがよ
り強力な接着強度を得るため好ましい。また、該ポリオ
レフィン樹脂の溶融粘度は特に限定されないが、被着体
の一方が、紙布、不織布、発泡体、ネット木材などのよ
うな多孔質もしくは粗表面素材の場合、溶融粘度が高い
と良好な接着強度が得られず、溶融粘度は低い方が好ま
しく、メルトインデックス(190℃、2.16AIJ
荷重)10〜100 ?/10g/10minの範囲が
特に好ましい。メルトインデックスが100 ?710
g/10min以上になると、高周波融着材自体の強度
が低下し、融着材破壊による接着力の低下が見られる。
本発明における高周波融着材の必須成分としての炭素粉
末とは、コークス、ガスカーダン、無煙炭、カーダンブ
ラック等の無定形炭素、鱗片状黒鉛A生状黒鉛等の天然
黒鉛、コークス系、力−ゼンブラック系、熱分解黒鉛系
等の人造黒鉛、キッシュ黒鉛等の粉末であシ、カーダン
ブラックが好ましく用いられる。これら炭素粉末の粒度
は前記ポリオレフィン系樹脂に配合可能であればよく、
特に限定されないが、高周波による加熱の均一性、短時
間加熱、炭素粉未配合量の減少による分散の容易性、脆
性、流動性、接着性の改善等の理由によシ粒子径が小さ
く、表面積、吸油量の大きな炭素粉末が好ましく用いら
れる。
例えば、力−ゼンブラックにおいては、几CCレギュラ
ー カラー チャンネル(R,egular Co1o
rChannel )、MCOメディアム カラーチャ
ンネル(Medium C!olor Channel
 )、HCCハイカラーチャンネ/l/ (High 
Co1or Channel )、MOFメディアム 
カラーファーネス(Medium 0olor pur
nace )、HCFハイ カラー7アーネス(Hfg
h 0olor Furnace )、l5AFインタ
ーメデイエツト スーパーアブレイショア7アーネス(
Intermediate 5uper Abrasi
onpurnace )、SAFスーパーアブレイジョ
ンファーネス(5uper Abrasion Fur
nace )等が好ましく、更に特殊カーダンブラック
として表面積500 m’7を以上及び吸油量200 
m17100 を以上のカーダンブラックが、前記特性
改善のため特に好ましく用いられる。
本発明高周波融着材中のポリオレフィン樹脂と炭素粉末
との配合量は特に限定されないが、短時間で強力な接着
力を得るためには、炭素粉末の配合量が3〜20wt%
の範囲にあるのが好ましい。上記範囲よシ少ない場合は
、用いる炭素粉末の性質によっては短時間での加熱融着
が困難となシ、かつ、偏加熱が起き易いことがある。上
記範囲よシ多い場合は用いる炭素粉末の性質によっては
、融着材の溶融粘度が高くなシ、多孔質物質や粗表面素
材、複雑形状部位での接着力が充分に得られない場合が
ありまた、融着材自体の電気伝導性が良くなるため、高
周波を印加した場合、融着材内部または表面でスパーク
しやすくなることがある。
本発明における高周波融着剤は上記組成以外に熱安定剤
、紫外線吸収剤、結晶核剤、滑剤、充填剤、顔料、難燃
剤、帯電防止剤、増粘剤、発泡剤、可塑剤その他の添加
剤を含んでいてもよい。
該高周波融着材の製造は通常一般に用いられている単独
もしくは多軸押出機、混線機等で各成分を溶融混練して
行なうことが出来る。
本発明に用いられる高周波の周波数は1〜10000P
JIIzの範囲にあシ、特に電波漏洩による法令上の規
制によシ、13.56MHz、 27.12MHz、 
40.18MHz。
2450■(2付近の周波数がよく使用される。高周波
の周波数出力は、被着体及び高周波融着材の形状大きさ
及び融着時間等の要因によって任意に決定される。本発
明においては、被着体や高周波融着材の形状の自由度が
大きい、電極が不要、スノξ−クの発生が少ない、電波
漏洩防止が容易等の理由によりマイクロ領域1000〜
100100O0の周波数が好ましく用いられ、特に2
450 MHz付近の周波数が好ましい。
本発明で接着されるポリオレフィン樹脂成形品は、前記
ポリオレフィン樹脂を用いて成形されたものであり、成
形法、形状は特に限定されない。
又、ポリオレフィン樹脂成形品と接着される多孔質素材
及び粗表面素材も、材質、形状等特に制限されないが、
例えば紙、木材、布、不織布、皮、焼結体、樹脂発泡成
形品等があげられる。
接着に際しては、融着材の種類、印加する周波数、被着
体の材質、形状に応じて、接着圧力、時間、温度の接着
東件を選定できる。また融着材被着体の加熱を促進し均
一化するために高周波印加するだめに、高周波印加前に
予熱することも出来る。接着の仕方は自由でちゃ、基材
を平面同志、曲面同志、あるいは通常接着が困難とされ
ろ平面に垂直ないし角度をもたせて植え込み方式で接着
することも出来る。
(本発明の効果) 本発明の接着方法は ■ きわめて短時間に融着出来る。そのだめ、ポリオレ
フィン樹脂と紙、木材等の誘電物質との融着も可能。
■ 接着強度が高い。特に紙、不織布等の多孔質素材も
1−りけ粗表面素材への接着性に優れる。
■ 発熱を吸着水分に頼ってないため、高周波融着材の
成形直後から接着までの時間の影響が少なく安定した均
一な発熱、融着が可能。
■ 高周波融着材の成分として炭素粉末を使用している
ため、混線機、成形機の摩耗が少ない。
また少量の添加で効果があるため均一分散が容易となり
、流動性、物性の低下が少なく、分散不良による偏加熱
が防止出来る。
■ マイクロ波を使用することによシ複雑形状、厚肉成
形品の融着が可能。
■ 高周波融着材とこれに接するポリオレフィン樹脂成
形品の表面層部分のみが融解するようにコントロール可
能でちるから、接着した現品の変形は極めて小さい。
■ 接着すべき基材を垂直ないし任意の角度をもたせて
、高周波融着材を介して植え込み方式で容易に精度よく
接着することが出来る。

(実施例) 以下実施例にて具体的に説明する。
実施例1〜5、比較例1〜3 ポリプロピン(旭化成工業製M1700 ) 90重量
部と第1表に示す充てん剤各10重量部とを・々ン・マ
リ−ミキサーを用いて、220℃で3分間溶融混棟し、
圧延ロール(てて冷却シート化後、裁断ベレット化し、
高周波融着材を得た。得られたペレットを用いて250
℃の温度で射出成形し、、20X40X1間の接着用試
験片を得た。
得られた接着用試験片を高周波発生室(松下電気産業製
、2450 MHz 、 0.5 kw )内に供給し
、高周波を印加、2秒毎に温度を測定した。結果を第1
図に示す。また、該接着用試験片を20 X 40 X
 2yyr に’)形状の2枚のpp成形板の間(て平
行に挾み高周波発生室内に供給し、100fの荷重を加
えながら高周波を印加した。この際の接着時間(高周波
印加時間)及び接着の可否を第1表に示す。
以下余白 実施例6〜9、比較例4 第2表に示す配合組成でノ々ンノ々リーミキサーを用い
て、220℃で3分間溶融混練し、圧延ロールにて冷却
シート死後裁断ペレット化し、高周波融着材を得た。得
られたペレットを用いて250℃の温度で射出成形し、
20X40X1 fnの接着用試験片を得た。
得られた接着用試験片2を第2図に示すようにPP成形
板1上に置き、更にその上に折られた板紙3られた接着
体を用いてPPと板紙との接着力を引張試験機を用いて
接着強度を測定した。結果を第2表に示す。
以下余白 実施例10〜13 ポリゾロピレン(旭化成工業製M1700)90重量部
とカーぜンブラック(実施例2で用いたカーボンブラッ
ク2)10重量部及び2.5−−jメチル−2、2−シ
(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサンを第3表の組成で配
合し、実施例6と同様にして混線、成形、接着を行なっ
た。なお接着時間(高周波印加時間)は5秒で行なった
。結果を第3表に示す。
実施例14〜16 、d IJエチレン(旭化成工業製J310)、無水マ
レイン酸変性ポリエチレン(MI 20 f710g/
10min 、無水マレイン酸グラフト率0.5wt%
)、カー2ンブラツク(実施例3で用いたカーボンブラ
ック3)及び無水マレイン酸、2,5−ジメチル−2,
5−1り(1−ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサンを第4表に
示す。配合組成で220℃、3分間パンツマリ−混練し
てシート化教断し、高周波融着材ペレットを得だ。
得られた高周波融着材をプレス成形にて100X100
xo、aanのシートに成形した。該シートを100X
100×3門のポリエチレン板(旭化成工業製J310
)と100X100XQ、5mmのナイロン6布地との
間に挾み1実施例1で用いた高周波発生室内へ供給し、
11.9の荷重で高周波を30秒間印加し冷却接着した
結果を第4表に示す。

Claims (7)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)一対のポリオレフィン樹脂成形品相互間の接着又
    はポリオレフィン樹脂成形品と多孔質素材もしくは粗表
    面素材との接着、又は多孔質素材もしくは粗表面素材相
    互間の接着において、接着部位の形状に対応した形状に
    成形されたポリオレフィン樹脂と炭素粉末とを必須成分
    としてなる高周波融着材を前記被着体の間に挾み、高周
    波を印加することによつて、該高周波融着材を選択的に
    加熱溶融し、前記被着体を融着することを特徴とする高
    周波誘電加熱によるポリオレフィン樹脂成形品などの接
    着方法
  2. (2)高周波融着材として、炭素粉末の含有量が3〜2
    0wt%である特許請求の範囲第1項記載のポリオレフ
    ィン樹脂成形品などの接着方法
  3. (3)炭素粉末が、表面積500m^2/g以上及び吸
    油量200ml/100g以上のカーボンブラックであ
    る特許請求の範囲第1又は2項記載のポリオレフィン成
    形品などの接着方法
  4. (4)高周波融着材のメルトインデックス(190℃、
    2.16kg荷重)が10g/10min以上、100
    g/10min以下の範囲にある特許請求の範囲第1又
    は2項記載のポリオレフィン樹脂成形品などの接着方法
  5. (5)高周波融着材を構成するポリオレフィン樹脂が、
    不飽和カルボン酸及び又はその酸無水物で変性されたポ
