Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は超音波溶着用受け台に関する。更に詳しくは、
中間にスペーサーを挟んで超音波溶着法を用いて貼り合
わされた、エアーサンドイッチ構造の光ディスクの製法
において用いられる超音波溶着用受け台に関する。
〔従来の技術及び問題点〕
従来より円盤状の透明プラスチック基板の少なくとも一
方の面に記録媒体層を設けたり、所定の情報信号をピッ
ト(穴)の有無として記録したものを前記媒体層が設け
られた面が互いに対向するようにして、中間にスペーサ
ーを挟んで2枚貼り合わせてディスクを形成し、その基
板表面より光ビームを照射して情報の記録再生を行う装
置が開発されている。
これらのディスクにおける基板としては、経済性、安定
性及び光学的特性の観点より、ポリメチルメタクリレー
トやポリカーボネート等の成形基板を使用しているが、
これらの基板の貼り合わせ法としてホットメルト接着、
エポキシ接着剤のような熱硬化接着、紫外線硬化接着、
超音波溶着などが挙げられる。
超音波溶着は短時間で高い接着力が得られるので最も経
済性に優れたものである。
しかしながら、光ディスク円盤のような比較的大きなも
のは十分な接着性を得るのが困難であった。
それ故、従来より、種々研究が行われてきており、例え
ば、直径5CII+以下の小さな部分のみ超音波溶着し
、直径30cmのような広い範囲はホ7)メルト接着を
行う方法が特開昭58−203645号公報で提案され
ている。又、第6図に示すように、スペーサーの突起部
分を2列平行線になるように設けて接着性を高める方法
が特開昭58−194153号公報で提案されている。
尚、図中、1はディスク受け台、2はスペーサー、3は
スペーサーの突起部分、5はディスク基板、6は記録膜
、7は超音波振動子(ホーン)である。
しかしながら、突起部分が2列のスペーサーを用いても
、スペーサーを挟んで2枚のディスク基板を一度に超音
波溶着するにはまだ十分な接着力は得られていない。更
に、紐のような細いスペーサーを用いた場合には、スペ
ーサーの位置決めが完全な状態にできないために、超音
波振動によりスペーサーの位置がずれて、微少の位置の
バラツキが生じる。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕 本発明者らは、上記の問題点を解決すべく鋭意研究の結
果、特に接着力の向上とスペーサーの完全な位置決めが
可能な超音波溶着用骨は台を見出し、本発明を完成する
に至った。
即ち、本発明は、2枚の光ディスク基板を記録膜を内側
にして、中間にスペーサーを挟んで超音波溶着法を用い
て貼り合わせたエアーサンドイッチ構造の光ディスクの
製法において用いられるスペーサーの受け台であって、
スペーサーの突起部分に沿って、スペーサー突起部分が
受け台に接触しないように、凹(くぼみ)を有すること
を特徴とする超音波溶着用骨は台を提供するものである
本発明の超音波溶着用骨は台は、中間にスペーサーを挟
んで2枚のディスク基板を合わせ、一度で超音波溶着に
よる貼り合わせを完成させようとするものではなく、超
音波溶着を2回に分けて貼り合わせディスクを完成させ
るのに適するものである。
〔実施例〕
以下、本発明の実施態様を図面に基づいて更に詳しく述
べる。
第1図は本発明による超音波貼り合わせディスクのスペ
ーサー受け台の一実施例を示す断面図であり、本実施例
は小型ディスク用に用いられるものである。又、第2図
は本発明になる他の実施例の断面図であり、本実施例は
大型ディスク用に用いられるものである。本発明の超音
波溶着用骨は台を用いて光ディスクを製造するには、ま
ずスペーサーの突起部分がはまり込むだけの凹(くぼみ
)4の付いたスペーサー受け台1に、スペーサー2をス
ペーサーの突起部分3がスペーサー受け台1の凹(くぼ
み)4に合うようにはめ込む。次にスペーサー2の上に
ディスク基板5を記録膜6が下側になるようにして置き
、ディスク基板5の上からスペーサ一部分に超音波装置
のホーン(振動子)7を押し当て、0.5〜2秒の範囲
で超音波振動を与える。
基板5とスペーサー2が溶着されて第1図のものは第3
図のようになる。次に基板5とスペーサー2を溶着した
ものを逆にして、その上にディスク基板5°を第4図に
示すように置き、2回目の超音波溶着を行うと第5図に
示したような状態となり、ディスク基板5,5゛がスペ
ーサー2にしうかりと溶着された光ディスクが得られる
〔発明の効果〕
以上のように本発明の受け台を用いると、できあがった
エアーサンドイッチ構造の光ディスクのスペーサーの位
置ずれのない、十分な接着力を持ったディスクが得られ
る。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 2枚の光ディスク基板を記録膜を内側にして、中間にス
    ペーサーを挟んで超音波溶着法を用いて貼り合わせたエ
    アーサンドイッチ構造の光ディスクの製法において用い
    られるスペーサーの受け台であって、スペーサーの突起
    部分に沿って、スペーサー突起部分が受け台に接触しな
    いように、凹(くぼみ)を有することを特徴とする超音
    波溶着用受け台。
