Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は、金属のプレス加工、圧延、伸線、鍜
造、鋼管の引抜き等の冷間加工における金属の潤
滑処理方法に関するものである。 従来、金属を冷間加工する場合、金属及び金型
工具の摩擦や摩耗の低減を図るため潤滑処理を施
しており、その潤滑処理は、比較的低加工度のも
のに対しては、極圧剤や油性向上剤を添加した潤
滑油で潤滑処理が施され、高加工度のものに対し
ては、普通鋼ではリン酸塩処理→石けん処理、ス
テンレス鋼では、蓚酸塩処理→石けん処理の如き
化成処理による潤滑処理が施されてきた。近年省
エネルギー、公害、生産性の向上等に対処するた
め工程の簡略化が要望されているが、化成処理に
よる潤滑処理方法は処理液の加温、処理液及び水
洗水の廃水処理等が必要であり、又処理時間もか
かるし冷間加工後の潤滑皮膜の除去作業も容易で
はない。 本発明の目的は、上記問題点を解決すべくなさ
れたものである。 本発明の目的を達成させる金属の潤滑処理方法
は、金属表面に熱可塑型水溶性樹脂及びメラミン
―シアヌル酸付加物を含有する水溶液を塗布し乾
燥させて皮膜を形成させた後、金属石けん潤滑剤
又は潤滑油を塗布することを特徴とするものであ
る。 本発明における熱可塑型水溶性樹脂としては、
ポリアクリル酸、アクリル酸と他のビニル化合物
の共重合体、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリビニルピ
ロリドン、マレイン酸と他のビニル化合物の共重
合体、ポリ酢酸ビニルのけん化物などが好まし
い。アクリル酸又はマレイン酸と共重合する他の
ビニル化合物は、例えば酢酸ビニル、スチレン、
メチルビニルエーテル、アクリルアミド、ビニル
ピロリドンなどが挙げられる。冷間加工後の潤滑
皮膜の除去性はアクリル酸系樹脂が優れている。 熱可塑型水溶性樹脂とメラミン―シアヌル酸付
加物の含有比は1:0.3〜1:2が好ましく、
1:0.3以上では潤滑性が低下し、1:2以下で
は樹脂のバインダー作用が弱くなるため膜の密着
性が低下し、冷間加工時に剥離して焼付きを生じ
易い。又メラミン―シアヌル酸付加物の水分散に
は界面活性剤を使用しない。界面活性剤は金属と
熱可塑型水溶性樹脂の密着性を低下させたり、可
塑剤的な働きをして樹脂皮膜が必要以上に軟化し
て良い結果をもたらさないからである。 前記乾燥皮膜の重量は0.3〜30g/m2が好まし
く、0.3g/m2以下では潤滑性が低下して金属と
金型工具が焼付きを起こし、30g/m2以上では金
型工具によりしごき取られ、これが金型工具を目
詰まりさせるためかえつて作業性に悪影響を及ぼ
す。更に好しいのは、プレス用潤滑剤としては
0.5〜2g/m2であり、線材、パイプなどの冷間
加工用潤滑剤としては5〜15g/m2である。 メラミン―(イソ)シアヌル酸付加物は、メラ
ミン水溶液と(イソ)シアヌル酸水溶液を混合し
沈澱折出させることにより製造することが出来、
又メラミン又は(イソ)シアヌル酸の一方又は両
方を水中に固相状態で分散させた状態で両者を反
応させることによつても得ることが出来る。粒径
は0.5〜5μが得られる。 本発明における金属石けん潤滑剤は、例えばス
テアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸バリウム、
ステアリン酸亜鉛、ステアリン酸ナトリウム、ス
テアリン酸リチウムなどをベースにしたものであ
る。これに石灰、炭酸カルシウム、タルク、グラ
フアイト、二硫化モリブデンなどを添加する場合
がある。又、本発明における潤滑油は、通常市販
されている油脂又は鉱油をベースにしたものであ
る。本発明において熱可塑型水溶性樹脂及びメラ
ミン―(イソ)シアヌル酸付加物を含有する水溶
液に金属石けん潤滑剤又は潤滑油を配合させても
本発明の目的を達成させる性能を得ることができ
ない。これは金属と熱可塑型水溶性樹脂の密着性
が低下し、加工時に剥離して焼付きを起こすから
である。 本発明を実施する過程において、冷間加工の初
期段階では熱可塑型水溶性樹脂皮膜はしごきに対
しても剥離せず、加工部分への持込みが良く金属
と工具との接触が防止できる。又、変形加工段階
では金属の変形熱及び摩擦熱により金属表面が
100〜150℃になつて皮膜の伸びが良くなり、金属
変形に対し良く追随し膜切れしない。 メラミン―シアヌル酸付加物は300℃まで分解
せず潤滑性が良好であるため、冷間加工の滑剤と
なる。なお水溶性樹脂及びメラミン―シアヌル酸
付加物の皮膜は2層に分離し金属面に熱可塑型水
溶性樹脂の成分を多くした方が膜の密着性及び潤
滑性が向上する。これは金属表面に熱可塑型樹脂
及びメラミン―(イソ)シアヌル酸付加物を含有
する水溶液を塗布後、急速乾燥せずに30分以上室
内放置した後強制乾燥することにより得ることが
できる。 本発明は、金属に熱可塑型水溶性樹脂及びメラ
ミン―(イソ)シアヌル酸付加物を含有する水溶
液を浸漬、スプレー、ハケ塗り、流しかけ、ロー
ルコータ等の方法により塗布し、次いで金属石け
ん潤滑剤又は潤滑油を塗布することにより実施さ
れる。 本発明を実施することにより、化成処理による
潤滑処理に比べ金属の冷間加工における省エネル
ギー化、工程の簡略化、公害対策が可能となり、
良好な潤滑皮膜を得ることが出来た。 以下本発明について実施例を挙げて説明する。 実施例 1〜5 SUS304のステンレス鋼線を酸洗、水洗し、第
1表の水溶性樹脂及びメラミン―シアヌル酸付加
物を含有する処理液で浸漬処理(30℃.1分)
し、1時間液切りと自然乾燥した後120℃の熱風
で30分乾燥して固体皮膜を形成させた。次いでス
テアリン酸カルシウム粉末をダイスボツクスで塗
布した後伸線機で引抜きを行い、引抜力を測定
し、更に引抜き後の外観観察及び潤滑膜の除去性
について調査した。その結果を第2表に示す。

条件により引抜きを行つた。蓚酸塩皮膜重量10
g/m2.金属石けん量4g/m2とした。その結果
を第2表に示す。 比較例 2 実施例1〜5と同様のステンレス鋼線を酸洗、
水洗し、乾燥後溶剤希釈型樹脂〔ハングスターフ
ア111QD(ハングスターフア―社製品)〕トルエ
ンで1/2倍希釈し浸漬処理(室温1分)し、1日
間自然乾燥した後実施例1〜5と同様の伸線条件
により引抜きを行つた。樹脂付着量10g/m2とし
た。その結果を第2表に示す。 比較例 3 メラミン―シアヌル酸付加物を除いた以外は実
施例2で用いた方法と同様の条件で処理し伸線試
験を行つた。樹脂皮膜厚さ10g/m2とした。 比較例 4 ステアリン酸カルシウムを塗付しない以外は実
施例1で用いた方法と同様の条件で処理し、伸線
試験を行つた。 試験結果

で30分乾燥して固体皮膜を形成させた。次いで潤
滑油(なたね油)を塗布した後抽伸機で引抜きを
行い、引抜力、芯金力を測定し、更に引抜き後の
外観観察及び潤滑膜の除去性について調査した。

m2、金属石けん量4g/m2とした。その結果を第
3表に示す。 比較例 6 実施例6〜10と同様のステンレス鋼管を酸洗、
水洗し、乾燥後溶剤希釈型樹脂〔ハングスターフ
ア111QD(ハングスターフア社製品)〕トルエン
で1/2倍希釈し浸漬処理(室温1分)し、1日間
自然乾燥した後潤滑油〔J―1(ハングスターフ
ア社製品)〕を塗布後、実施例6〜10と同様の抽
伸条件により引抜きを行つた。樹脂付着量10g/
m2とした。その結果を第3表に示す。 比較例 7 メラミン―シアヌル酸付加物を除いた以外は実
施例7で用いた方法と同様の条件で処理し、抽伸
試験を行つた。樹脂皮膜厚さ10g/m2とした。 比較例 8 潤滑油を塗付しない以外は実施例6で用いた方
法と同様の条件で処理し、抽伸試験を行つた。 試験結果

理した後潤滑膜の除去性を目視判定した。 実施例 11〜15 SUS304のステンレス鋼板に実施例6〜10と同
じ処理液を使用し固体皮膜厚さが乾燥後3μにな
るようにバーコーターで片面に塗布し、100〜120
℃1分の熱風乾燥した。次いで潤滑油(マシン
油)を片面に3μ塗布後深絞り試験機で深絞りを
行つた。深絞り後の外観及び潤滑膜の除去性につ
いての結果を第4表に示す。 深絞り条件 供試材寸法 90φ×0.8mm 深絞り試験 平底円筒絞り しわおさえ力 2000Kg 比較例 9 実施例11〜15と同様のステンレス鋼板にミルボ
ンド皮膜(日本油脂株式会社製品〕を実施例11〜
15と同様の方法で3μになる様に塗布した。次い
で潤滑油(ミルボンドオイル〔日本油脂株式会社
製品)を片面に3μ塗布後実施例11〜15と同じ試
験機で深絞り及び潤滑膜除去試験を行つた。その
結果を第4表に示す。 比較例 10 実施例11〜15と同様のステンレス鋼板にプレス
油(プレス工作油#640〔日本工作油社製品〕)を
片面に3μ塗布し、実施例11〜15と同様の深絞り
及び潤滑膜除去試験を行つた。その結果を第4表
に示す。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 金属表面に熱可塑型水溶性樹脂及びメラミン
    ―シアヌル酸付加物を含有する水溶液を塗布し乾
    燥させて皮膜を形成させた後、金属石けん潤滑剤
    又は潤滑油を塗布することを特徴とする金属の潤
    滑処理方法。 2 前記皮膜の重量は0.3〜30g/m2である特許
