Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は、主として榎管治療の際に用いられる歯科用
ハンドピースに関する。
即ち、根管拡大には工具軸を周期的に正方向と逆方向へ
反復回転動作させる技術手段が要求されるが、その最も
知られているものとして、特公昭４５一１３６４Ｍ公報
記載の発明と実公昭５２−３８６公報記載の考案とがあ
る。
ところでこの二つが示す技術手段の内容は、いずれも工
具取付鞘の側面に設けた縦構内に、駆動軸内端部に固定
した円板の隅心位置に駆動軸と平行状に突設した駆動ピ
ンを係合させ、円板の一方向回転により駆動ピンが縦溝
内を上下往復敷しつ）工具取付鞘を所定角度範囲内で水
平往復運動させて工具を反転させるようにしたものであ
る。
ところが、この先行技術手段では、駆動ピンが縦溝の反
転極限に位置したとき係合が外れやすく、使用による摩
耗がさらにそのおそれを増大させる。そこでその角度範
囲は目と制限され（７０度以上とすることは難しい）、
反転許容角度が狭いという難点があった。本発明は先行
技術のこのような難点を解消するためになされたもので
、以下図面の実施例によって説明すると、第１図におい
て１がハンドピース本体、２がその頭部に一体的に設け
た工具ケースで・、その工具ケース２内には、ハンドピ
ース本体１内に軸架される駆動軸８と直角交差方向に「
第３図に示すような球状を成し且つその一側面に縦溝１
４を設けた工具取付鞘１３を、その上端部１３ａが軸受
１１にその下端部１３ｂが工具ケース２の下端内に螺合
するキャップ兼用軸受１２にそれぞれ支承されるように
して軸架されている。
他方ハンドピース本体１内には、これと一体的に設けた
套管６内にスリーブ７を介して駆動軸８が回転自在に設
けられ、その先端に第３図に示すような正面を前記球状
の工具取付鞘１３の球額面に合致する球頭凹面９ａに形
成した円板９が固定され、その円板９の球頭凹面ｇａの
適宜周辺部に前記工臭取付鞘１３の縦溝１４に密合され
る円棒状の係合ピン１０を、駆動軸８の中心線Ｙと工具
取付鞘１３の中心線Ｘとの交点艮０ち球心０に向けて突
設してある。なお、図面中１６は工具ケース上部のスリ
ットＩＴ内に装着される工具止め板、１８は工具である
。
本発明は以上のように構成されるもので、今、根管拡大
作業にあたり、駆動軸８を一方向へ回転させると、これ
と一体の円板９を介してその正面球頭凹部９ａ周辺部に
突設した係合ピン１０が縦溝１４内を上下往復動しつ）
工具取付鞘１３をその鞘心を中心として所定角度範囲内
で水平首振り運動則ち周期反転運動を反復させる。
この時の作動状態を第２図によって示す。
即ち、本発明にあっては、係合ピン１川ま常に駆動軸８
の中心線Ｙと工具取付鞘１３の中心線×との交点貝０ち
球心０に向って縦溝１４内を上下に動いているから、工
具取付鞘１３の反転動作のいずれの位置においても係合
ピン１０先端と球心０との距離は常に不変であり、従っ
て左右反転極限位置においても係合ピン１０が縦溝１４
より外れるおそれは全くない。
しかもその係合方式は、縦溝１４と係合ピン１０相互の
密合による全面接触であるから、動作の伝達が確実で且
つ摩耗度もきわめて小さい。以上の説明するところによ
り本発明が、冒頭に掲げた所期の目的を達成する効果を
もたらすことが容易に諒解されよう。
また、以上の説明並びに図面に示すところのものは「本
発明の好ましい一例であって、要旨を変更しない範囲に
おいてその構造に幾多の変更を加えることができること
もちろんである。

図面は本発明に係る歯科用ハンドピースの実施例を示す
もので、第１図はその頭部装置の拡大縦断側面図、第２
図は第１図の工具ケース内に回転自在に装着される工具
取付鞘とハンドピース本体１内に軸承される駆動軸の先
端部（係合ピンを有する円板）との係合状態並びに作動
状態を示す横断平面図、第３図は工具取付鞘と駆動軸の
先端部（係合ピンを有する円板）との分離状態における

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ ハンドピース本体１の頭部に一体的に設けた工具ケ
    ース２内に、ハンドピース本体１内に軸架される駆動軸
    ８と直角交差方向に、球状を成し且つその一側面に縦溝
    １４を設けた工具取付鞘１３を回転自在に設け、前記駆
    動軸８の先端には、正面を前記球状の工具取付鞘１３の
    球頭面に合致する球頭凹面９ａに形成した円板９が固定
    され、その円板９の球頭凹面９ａの適宜周辺部に前記工
    具取付鞘１３の縦溝１４に密合される係合ピン１０を、
    駆動軸８の中心線Ｙと工具取付鞘１３の中心線Ｘとの交
    点即ち球心Ｏに向けて突設し、円板９の一方向回転によ
    り係合ピン１０が縦溝１４内を上下往復動しつゝ工具取
    付鞘１３を所定角度範囲内で水平往復運動させるように
    したことを特徴とする歯科用ハンドピース。 ２ 係合ピン１０を円棒状とした特許請求の範囲第１項
    記載の歯科用ハンドピース。
