Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は大口径の合成樹脂製パイプユニットの接合法
、特にベル アンド スピゴット接合法に関する。
〔従来技術〕
従来、煙突は高温(150〜200℃)で煙を排出して
いたため、材質のコンクリートあるいは鉄の腐食はほと
んど考えられなかった。ところが近年、公害防止のため
Box及びNOxの除去が必要とな9、排煙脱硫装置等
が設置されるようになった。そしてSO,等の除去方式
が湿式方式の場合、排煙脱硫装置の排ガス出口温度は6
0〜70℃と低くな9、又、前記SOX及びNOxの完
全な除去が困難なため、煙道あるいは煙突の内面に付着
する水滴が濃縮し、強酸性の液となシ在来のコンクリー
トあるいは鉄等が腐食される傾向がみられる。
この腐食対策として、2イニング方式あるいは既設煙突
内に耐食性の繊維強化プラスチック(以下FRPと略称
する)製のパイプを挿入する方式があるが、信頼性(強
度安全性等)及び工期の点でFRPパイプ挿入方式が採
用される方向になシ9つあるつまた煙突自体をFRP製
パイプで製造するとか、或いは各種のダクトもFRP製
パイプで製造されるようになって来ている。
FRF製パイプの接合法としては、テーパー接着接合法
、BUTT 接合法、フランジ接合法、メカニカルジヨ
イント法、ベル アンド スピゴット接合法、 ベルマ
ウステーパー接合法等種々あるが、大口径のパイプ接合
法としては、ベル(ソケットフ アンド スピゴット(
差込み]接合法が最も適しており、この方法が採用され
ている。特に既説煙突内にFRP jlJパイプを挿入
する場合には、該パイプと煙突内壁との間隙を出来るだ
け小さくしなければならない関係上フランジ接合法は不
適当であシ、またベル アンド スピゴット接合法以外
の接合法では施工の面或いは接合強度の問題があるため
に、大口径のFRP製パイプの接合法としては、通常ベ
ルアンド スピゴット接合法が採用されている。
第1図乃至第3図は従来のベル アンド スピゴット接
合方法を示す断面概略図であシ、第1図は接合前の状態
を、第2図及び第3図は接合後の状態を示す。そして符
号1はベル部、1′はベル底部、2はパイプユニット本
体、5はスピゴット部、5はスピゴット部の下端面、4
(第2図、第3図参照λは接着剤、6(第3図参照ンは
内面積層部を示す。
従来法においては、−のパイプユニットのスピゴット部
3の外面及び他のパイプユニットのベル部1の内面をサ
ンディング又はブラスト加工した後スピゴット部の外面
又はベル部の内面に接着用樹脂パテ(以下樹脂パテとい
う]を塗布してスピゴット部をベル部に挿入しているが
、スピゴット部とベル部の挿入クリアランスを1−又は
それ以上とっても塗布した樹脂パテが押し出されたり或
いは塗布した樹脂パテが不均一になったシして樹脂パテ
が完全に入らない為、通常樹脂パテが完全に入った場合
の10〜15チ程度しか有効に作用しない場合が多かっ
た。
従ってパイプユニットの接合部からガス漏れが生ずるだ
けでなく、スピゴット部の下端面50部分はFRP中の
ガラス繊維等の切断面が露出している場合が多い為、こ
の部分から腐食される傾向があった。この欠点を防止す
るために上記のようにしてパイプユニットを接合した後
第3図に示すようにスピゴット部3の下端面5とベル底
部1′との接触部を被覆するようにパイプ接合部内面に
FRPよシなる積層部6を形成することも行われている
。この場合、FRPによる内面積層部6を形成し易くす
る為に、スピゴット部内面及びベル部の下部内面に予め
テンディング又はプラスト加工を施しておくのが好まし
いことはいうまでもない。
〔発明の目的〕
仁の発明は、ベル アンド スピゴット方式により複数
のパイプユニットを接合する方法であって、従来法に比
し接合部を設計面積のとおり完全に接着すると共に接合
作業を能率的に行う方法を提供するものである。
〔発明の構成〕
この発明は、ベル アンド スピゴット接合方式によシ
、複数の繊維強化プラスチツク製パイプユニットを接着
剤によシ垂直方向に接合する方法において、−のパイプ
ユニットのスピゴット部を他のパイプユニットのベル部
に挿入した後スピゴット部下端面とベル底部との接触部
を被覆する′ように耐食層を設けその後スピゴット部と
ベル部との間隙に接着剤を注入することを特徴とするパ
イプユニットの接合方法である。
次に図面に基づいて本発明を更に詳しく説明する。
第4図は本発明の詳細な説明するための図面であって、
符号1〜5及び5.6は第1図〜第3図と同じ意味を有
し、7はベル部とスピゴット部の間隙を、8はベル開口
部に接着テープ等で作った堰を示す。本発明の方法にお
いては、先ツ、−のパイプユニットのスピゴット部を他
のパイプユニットのベル部に挿入した後絞スピゴット部
の端面5とベル底部1′との接触部を被覆するようにパ
イプの接合部内面にFRPよりなる内面積層部6を設け
る。この内面積層部6は、紐状のガラス繊維製織布にパ
イプユニット製造時に用いられるものと同一の不飽和ポ
リエステル樹脂又はエポキシ樹脂よシつくられた接着剤
を含浸せしめながら、筒身の接合部内面に接着して行き
、通常は3層程度積層した後硬化させる。ついでベル部
1とスピゴット部6の間隙7に0.3ボイズ〜20ボイ
ズの低粘度の接着剤を注入する。本発明においてはこの
ように低粘度の接着剤を使用するため、スピゴット部と
ベル部との間隙内に接着剤をスムースに注入でき、しか
も接着剤は注入した位置よシ重力によシ下方に流れ、先
づスピゴットの下端面5の部分に達し、つbで、Fl[
7の下方の部分から、空気を排除しながら次第に上部へ
向って間隙が満たされるため、該間隙を完全に接着剤で
満たすことができるばかりでなく、前にも述べたように
間隙を1〜2−と極めて狭くすることも出来るので接着
剤が小量ですみ、しかも強大な接着力が得られる。用い
る接着剤としては、パイプユニット製造に用いられたも
のと同じ不飽和樹脂製のもの、例えばパイプがポリエス
テル樹脂製のものであるときは、不飽和ポリエステル樹
脂製又はエポキシ樹脂製の接着剤を用いるのが好ましい
ベル部とスピゴット部の接着性或いは内面積層部6と前
身との接着性を向上させる為に、スピゴット部をベル部
に挿入する前に、スピゴット部の外面、ベル部の内面、
スピゴット部内面及びベル部の下方内面をサンディング

実施例 直径550crn1厚さ2.7 cm 、長さ10mで
、ベル部の長さ75cWIのガラス繊維強化ポリエステ
ル樹脂製パイプユニットのベル部内面及びベル部の下方
内面をサンドブラストした後、該ベル部にスピゴット部
の外面及び内面をサンドブラストしたパイプユニットの
スピゴット部を挿入した。ベル部とスピゴット部の間隙
は3〜5■であった。つぎに巾15〜50crnの紐状
ガラス#M布に不飽和ポリエステル系接着剤(商品名 
デラケーン470−36、ダウケミカル日本株式会社S
>を含浸させながら、スピゴット下端面5とベル底面と
の接触部を被覆するように両パイプの接触部内面に3層
に積層して内面積層部6を形成すると共に接着剤の注入
を容易にするために粘着テープでベル開口部に堰8を形
成した。つぎに粘度2,0ポイズの不飽和ポリエステル
系接着剤(商品名 デラケーン470−56、ダウケミ
カル日本株式会社M)1kl!/分の割合で注入した約
10分後にベル部とスピゴット部の間隙は接着剤により
満たされた。その後室温に放置することによシ接着剤を
硬化させた。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明においては、接着剤を適用すべき空間に完全に接
着剤を注入できるので、従来法に比し完全にスピゴット
部とベル部を接着することができ、又スピゴット部とベ
ル部の間隙を小さくすることができるので、接着剤の使
用量を節約しうる。と共に作業性が従来の%〜%に改善
される。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1、 ベル アンド スピゴット接合方式によシ、複数
    の繊維強化プラスチツク製パイプユニットを接着剤によ
    シ垂直方向に接合する方法において、−のパイプユニッ
    トのスピゴット部を他のパイプユニットのベル部に挿入
    した後スピゴット部下端面とベル底部との接触部を被覆
    するように耐食層を設けその後スピゴット部とベル部と
    の間隙に接着剤を注入することを特徴とするパイプユニ
    ットの接合方法。
