Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 皮亙公! この発明は玉縁やモールなどの装飾部材を高周波溶着す
る技術に関する。
′ び が しようと る。 へ 玉縁等の装飾部材を例えば、自動車のドアや座席などの
内装品に高周波溶着することはよく行われている。従来
行われている玉縁等の高周波溶着方法を第1図乃至第6
図に示す。
第1.2図は、断面が略円形でかつその一部を外周に突
出させて取付部を形成した紐状の玉縁を高周波溶着した
例である。この場合、電極l、2の間に別体の被着部材
3.4の接合部を合せ、この接合部の間に軟質塩化ビニ
ール酸の玉縁5の取付部 5′ を挟んで、電極l、2
に高周波電流を通電して高周波溶着していた。第1図は
この方法を示す。またこの方法による溶着状態を第2図
に示しである。三者は溶着部6において一体化している
。したがって、この溶着方法は被着部材の接合部におい
てのみ可能である。
第3図のように仮に、一枚物の被着部材の連続平坦部分
において溶着するとすれば、困難な問題が生ずる。すな
はち断面円形の玉縁を一枚物の被着部材の連続平坦部分
に置いて上下電極1.2でこれらを挟み、電極間に通電
する。ところが、この方法による溶着状態は第4図に示
す如く、形崩れして見苦しい外観を呈する。これは玉縁
5全体が高周波により軟化するためである。
次に被着部材9に偏平帯状のモール10を高周波溶着し
た例を第5.6図に示す。第5図は溶着方法を示し、上
下電極7.8で被着部材9および偏平帯状のモール10
を挟んで高周波溶着する。
このとき上部電極7は通電効率を高めるため端部を突出
部11としである。この結果は第6図に示すように二条
の線形をした溶着跡が出現し、場合により著しく外観を
悪くし、室内の装飾部材たる価値を損なう。
1布 本発明は、玉縁等の装飾部材を被着部材の連続部分に対
し、形崩れや溶着跡を残さずに外観を良好に保ったまま
高周波溶着できる装飾部材を提供すること、およびこの
装飾部材を用いた高周波溶着方法を提供することを目的
とする。
、 市 るための手 (装飾部材の構成) 極性の熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる樹脂部分と、この樹脂
部分内に一体に埋め込み、かつその一部を少くとも2ケ
所露出させた導電性の芯材とからなり、この芯材を一方
の高周波電極とする高周波溶着用装飾部材。
(溶着方法) 極性の熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる樹脂部分と、この樹脂
部分内に一体に埋め込み、かつその一部を少くとも2ケ
所露出させた導電性の芯材とからなる装飾部材を被着部
材に接触させ、この芯材を一方の高周波電極とし、他方
の電極を装飾部材が接触している面と反対側の被着部材
の面に当接して被着部材側電極とし、芯材と被着部材側
電極に高周波電流を通電し、被着部材と装飾部材との接
触部を加熱溶融させることにより、被着部材に対し装飾
部材を溶着する高周波溶着方法。
忙月 本発明の装飾部材は、芯材が通電可能となっている。し
たがってこれに高周波電流を通電した場合、高周波電極
として機能する。
ゆえに被着部材に装飾部材を重ねて、被着部材側電極と
芯材に高周波電流を通電すると、芯材が一方の高周波電
極となり、両電極間における被着部材と装飾部材との接
触部分にほぼ限定された狭い範囲のみを溶着させること
ができる。
支崖1 第7図乃至第9図に本発明の実施例を示す。
(装飾部材) 木実流側の装飾部材は、第7,8図に示す如く、断面が
円形で紐状の玉縁として形成しである。この玉縁は、塩
化ビニールの樹脂部16とこの内部に長さ方向に埋め込
んだ銅製の導線である芯材17とからなっている。また
芯材17の両端は露出している。
(溶着方法) この装飾部材を用いて被着部材に溶着する方法の実施例
は第7図および第8図に示しである。装飾部材は絶縁材
料からなる支持台15に支持される。支持台15には装
飾部材を固定するための溝22が予め形成されている。
この溝22の断面はほぼ装飾部材の半径に等しい半円形
であって、支持台15の上面で長さ方向に形成されてい
る。装飾部材はこの溝22内に固定されている。装飾部
材の支持台から露出している部分は塩化ビニール製の被
着部材18に接触されている。この装飾部材と被着部材
18は被着部材側電極13と下部電極14との間に置か
れる。第8図に見られるように、被着部材側電極13は
被着部材18の裏側に配置し、下部電極14は電極ベー
ス21上に取付けられ、芯材17の両端部を支持してい
る。芯材17の両端部は露出され、直接下部電極14に
接触し、下部電極14と導通可能となっている。−方下
部電極14に対応する被着部材側電極13の位置には、
絶縁材料からなる固定部材20が固定されている。第7
図及び第8図の状態から装飾部材を溶着するには、被着
部材側電極13を押下げて、被着部材18を装飾部材に
圧接するとともに、芯材17の両端を下部電極14と固
定部材20で挟む。なお圧接は溶融後に行なってもよい
次いで被着部材側電極13および下部電極14の間に高
周波電流を通電する。これにより芯材17が高周波電極
として作用し、樹脂部16と被着部材18はそれぞれが
極性材料であるから高周波溶着される。すなはち樹脂部
16部分のうち芯材17と被着部材側電極13に挟まれ
た部分aと、樹脂部16に接っする被着部材18の部分
すとが誘電加熱により溶融する。その後通電を止めれば
、樹脂部16と被着部材18の接触溶融部分が冷却固化
し、両者が一体化した溶着部分19となる。
これに伴って装飾部材は確実かつ強力に被着部材18に
溶着される。このとき樹脂部16のうち、芯材17より
下側で被着部材18に面していない部分は溶融されない
。したがって比較的線状に近い溶着部分19において溶
着するから、溶着後の状態は第9図に示すように、形崩
れすることのない整った外観形状を維持できる。
そのうえ被着部材側電極13と下部電極(芯材17)の
間にある装飾部材の樹脂部分の厚さが従来のものと比べ
て約172となるから消費電力もかなり少くすることが
できる。
(その他の実施例) 装飾部材は前記実施例のような玉縁に限定されない。例
えば、モールのような巾広部材でも、また切抜文字のよ
うなものでよい。この場合には前実施例のような線状の
芯材を複数本縁部に埋設するか、網状等の板部材を全体
に埋設すればよい。
このようにすれば巾広部材に対する溶着であっても第6
図のような溶着跡が外観面に生ずることがない。
玉縁など装飾部材の材料は塩化ビニールに限らない。極
性のある熱可塑性材料ならば何でもよい。
芯材は導電性があれば無機物質でも有機物質でもよい。
また導電性塗料でもよい。
また被着部材の材料も装飾部材と同様のものが好ましい
が、繊維などの粗い面を有する場合には、装飾部材の溶
融した樹脂部分が強固に接着できるから、被着部材は必
ずしも極性のある熱可塑性材料でなくてもよい。

らず種種なものとすることができる。
肱ヌ 叙1−の通り、本考案によれば、装飾部材を形崩れさせ
ることなく、かつ溶着跡を外観面に形成することなく、
外観形状を美しく保ったまま被着部材に溶着することが
できる。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)極性の熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる樹脂部分と、こ
    の樹脂部分内に一体に埋め込み、かつその一部を少くと
    も2ケ所露出させた導電性の芯材とからなり、この芯材
    を一方の高周波電極とすることを特徴とする高周波溶着
    用装飾部材。
  2. (2)極性の熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる樹脂部分と、こ
    の樹脂部分内に一体に埋め込み、かつその一部を少くと
    も2ケ所霞出させた導電性の芯材とからなる装飾部材を
    被着部材に接触させ、この芯材を一方の高周波電極とし
    、他方の電極を装飾部材が接触している面と反対側の被
    着部材の面に当接して被着部材側電極とし、芯材と被着
    部材側電極に高周波電流を通電し、被着部材と装飾部材
    との接触部を加熱溶融させることにより、被着部材に対
    し装飾部材を溶着することを特徴とする高周波溶着方法
