Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、液圧を利用して転写片のパターンを被印刷物
に転写する印刷方法に関するものである。
此種印刷方法は特公昭５２−４１６８２号により公知の
如く、水溶性フィルムに転写パターンを印刷してこれを
水面に浮かべると共に、このフィルムに被印刷物を当接
させつつ被印刷物を水中に没入せしめ、以って転写フィ
ルムを水圧によって被印刷物に密着させるものである。
従って、此種印刷方法において被印刷物の表面に空目地
を形成したい場合には、印刷前の被印刷物にマスキング
を施す事が必要になる。
しかしながら、従来におけるこの様なマスキングは被印
刷物の表面にテープ等の接着片を手作業で貼着してマス
キング膜を形成するものであったから、大量処理が困難
であるばかりか、転写後にマスキング部分を形成するマ
スキング膜を剥離して更に残留接着剤等を清掃除去する
工程も必要となるから、加工原価が高くなると云う不利
益もあった。
本発明はこの様な不利益を一掃し得る印刷方法を提供せ
んとするものである。
以下に本発明方法を詳述すると、本発明方法は、被印刷
物の表面における印刷を施さない部分に水溶性塗料を使
用してマスキング膜を形成するマスキング工程と、この
様にマスキングされた被印刷物を水面上に浮かべた水溶
性転写フィルムのパターン面に接触させつつ全部又は１
部を水中に没入させ、以って液圧により転写フ・１゛ル
ムを被印刷物表面に密着させてパターンを被印刷物表面
に転写するパターン転写工程と、この転写工程中におけ
るパターンの転写以後において上記転写フィルムとマス
キング膜とを同時に水中で溶解させ、これによってマス
キング膜と転写フィルムとを被印刷物から除去する脱膜
工程とを有し、且つ所望により脱膜工程後に第１乾燥工
程、トップコート形成工程、第２乾燥工程等を連続せし
めたものである。
上記マスキング工程は、上記被印刷物の表面中において
印刷を施したくない部分に対し、予め水溶性塗料を塗付
してマスキング膜を形成するものであり、この塗付手段
としては型紙等の治具やスプレー等の吹付器を用いれば
良いが、場合によっては水溶性塗料を用いてシルク印刷
手段で被印刷物にマスキング膜を形成しても良い。
上記水溶性塗料は水溶性合成樹脂、例へばハイドロキシ
プロピルセルロース、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリアク
リルアシド、メチルセルローズ等を１〜１０％程度用い
、これを溶剤、例へばアルコールで溶解せしめると共に
界面活性剤を少量添加して作れば良い。
この水溶性塗料の実施例としては、水溶性合成樹脂１０
ｇ、エチルアルコール３００ＣＣ，界面活性剤１ｃｃの
組成物を好例として挙げる事が出来る。
本発明印刷方法はこの様なものであるから、これを用い
れば下記効果がある。
水溶性塗料を用いてマスキングするものであるから、治
具等の塗付手段が容易に入手出来、従って均一なマスキ
ングを自動的に且つ短時間で被印刷物に施す事が出来る
。
マスキング膜が水溶性塗料で形成されるため、転写工程
中においてマスキング膜が転写フィルムと共に溶解除去
され、従って別途なマスキング膜除去工程を必要としな
い。
本発明方法はこの様なものであるから、此種印刷方法と
して効果の大きいものである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 被印刷物の印刷を施さない部分に水溶性塗料を用いてマ
    スキング膜を形成し、この様にマスキング処理した被印
    刷物を水面上に浮かべられた水溶性転写フィルムの転写
    パターンに当接せしめつつ１部又は全部を水中に没入さ
    せ、上記転写フィルムを上記被印刷物へ水圧により密着
    させて転写パターンを転写すると共に転写フィルムとマ
    スキング膜とをパターンの転写以後において水中で溶解
    除去する事を特徴とした印刷方法。
