Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、金属芯の入ったゴムロールを製造する方法に
関するものである。
一般に芯入りゴムロール(以下単にゴムロールと言う)
は、印刷ロール、製紙ロール、紡績ロール、複写機ロー
ルなどに広く工業的に用いられている。そして、これら
のロールは全て金属芯の周囲を弾力性のあるゴムで被覆
されているという特徴があり、一方機能的には、耐摩耗
性がすぐれ、引裂抵抗が大きく葡重下での永久歪が小さ
く更に用途に応じて1耐熱性、耐薬品性等の諸性質も要
求される。
従来行われているゴムロールの製造力?’bは、先づ原
料ゴムに充填剤、可盤剤、安定剤、加硫剤などの必要な
薬品を混合した配合物を円筒形金型の中に金属芯を保持
した状態で、金型と金属芯の間に充填して金型を加熱し
成型加硫接着を行う。
一定時間後加硫が完了後金型より加硫したゴムロールを
取り出す。そして、表面を研削してロール径と円筒度及
び表面のあらさを要求に合うように造る。
然しなから、上記の方法では研削の工程があるために、
製造コストが高くなるという欠点がある。
そこで、本発明は上記の欠点である研削の工程を無くし
、任意の模様をロール表面に自由に与えることによって
研削した製品と同等以上の機能と品質を有する製品が得
られる製造方法を提供するものである。
以下その実施例に基づいて説明すると、先づ金型1の円
筒形内周面2に任意の模様を加工する。
そして、円筒形内周面2を有する金型1の中に金属芯3
を保持して、金型の両端にそれぞれ蓋4.4′を取りつ
け、注入口5よりゴム配合物6を空隙7を完全に満たす
まで注入した後肢金型l全体を加熱して成型加硫接着を
行う。一定時間加硫後、金型より加硫したゴムロールを
取り出せば、金属芯入りのゴムロールの製品と成すこと
ができる。
一般的にゴムロールの製造工程に於いて、研削工程に要
する製造コストは、総工程の製造コストの約30%を占
めると言われているが、本発明では、研削工程を無くし
たので、総工程の製造コストを町なり下げることができ
た。そして、従来研削していたゴムロールは、どうして
も研削による1法と表面あらさのバラツキを避けること
ができなかったが、本発明による製造1j法では、金型
1の円筒形内周面2に任意の模様を加工して、成型時金
型1の円筒形内周面2の模様を反転して、ゴムロールの
外周面に構成するので、寸法と表面あらさのバラツキが
少なく真円度の小さい高品質の製品と成すことができる

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 金型の円筒形内周面に任意な模様を加工した該金型の中
    に金属芯を保持した後、両端に蓋を取りつけて該金型と
    金属芯の間の空隙をゴム配合物にて充填し、該金型全体
    を加熱して、成型加硫接着を行うことを特徴とする金属
    芯入りゴムロールの製造方法。
