Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は自動車・自動自転車等のドラムブレーキにおけ
る水・塵埃等の侵入防止装置に関する。
ドラムブレーキは、そのブレーキパネルとブレーキドラ
ムの各外周面のはめ合い部分に、同心円状ラビリンス溝
を多重に形或して、水・塵埃などがブレーキ機構部に侵
入するのを防いでいる？、ラビリンス溝が小さいため、
一旦侵入したものは簡単に通過してブレーキ機構部に達
し、ブレーキ効果を弱めるおそれがある。
本考案は上記の問題点を解決するために提案されたもの
で、ブレーキ機構部に対する水・塵埃等の侵入を極力食
い止めることを目的とする。
以下図面に示す実施例については構或を説明する。
１は車体に結合されている車軸管、２はその車軸管１に
固着されたブレーキパネル、３は車軸管１にベアリング
４で支持された車軸、５はその車軸３に固着されたブレ
ーキドラム、６はブレーキ操作アーム、７はブレーキカ
ム、８はブレーキシュー、９はアンカーピン、１０はリ
ターンスプリングである。
上記ブレーキパネル２の外周面２１とブレーキドラム５
の外畑面５１とのはめ合い部分は、その間にラビリンス
を形或するため、ブレーキパネル２及びブレーキドラム
の各外周面２１，５１の内外側に外周面２１． ５１と
平行の隔壁２２． ５２が複数段設けられてい．る。
そしてブレーキパネル２及びブレーキドラム５の各外周
面２１， ５１と隔壁２２， ５２を交互に人組ませる
ことにより、内外隣接するラビリンス溝相互の連通部を
車軸方向に離れた位置に配置した同心円状ラビリンス溝
ｌ１，１，ｌ３が多重に形或されている。
以上の構或は従来装置と略同様である。本考案は上記の
構戒において、ブレーキパネル２の外周面２１，ブレー
キドラム５の外周面５１及び隔壁２２， ５２によって
形威された同心円状の多重ラビリンス溝１、，ｌ２，１
３を内側のものほど大きくしたものである。
実施例は溝の長さを順次長くしたが、幅或いは長さと幅
の両方を大きくしてもよい。
隔壁５２． ２２及びブレーキドラム外周面５１の端縁
５２１ ， ２２１及び５１１は、外方に向って反って
いる。
水・塵埃等の侵入物は、ジグザグ状に形或された延長の
長いラビリンス溝の中に溝１から入ろうとするが、端縁
５２１に阻まれて入りにくい。
その？縁５２１を越えて次段の溝１に入った侵入物は、
次の端縁２２１に阻まれる。
更にその端縁２２１を越えて次の溝１３に入っても、そ
の溝端にある端縁５１１によって侵入を阻止される。
本考案は上記ラビリンス溝１、，ｌ２，１３を更に内側
のものほど大きくしたから、侵入物の慣性が次第に弱ま
って入りにくくなるもので、前記ラビリンス溝を、ジグ
ザグ状に長く形威したことによる侵入阻止作用と相まっ
て、ブレーキ機構部への水・塵埃等の侵入は極めて少な
くなる効果がある。

図面は本考案装置を具えたドラムブレーキの縦断側面図
。 １は車軸管、２はブレーキパネル、２１はその外周面、
２２は隔壁、２２１は端縁、３は車軸、５はブレーキド
ラム、５１はその外周面、５２は隔壁、５２１は端縁、
１、，ｌ２，１３はラビリンス溝。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 車体に固定のブレーキパネル及び車輪と一体回転するブ
    レーキドラムの各外周面の内外側に外周面と平行の隔壁
    を複数段設け、ブレーキパネル及びブレーキドラムの各
    外周面と隔壁を交互に人組ませることにより、内外隣接
    するラビリンス溝相互の連通部を車軸方向に離れた位置
    に配置した同心円状ラビリンス溝を多重に形威したもの
    において、各層のラビリンス溝を内側のものほど大きく
    したドラムブレーキにおけろ水・塵埃等の侵入防止装置
    。
