- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 車幅方向に延びるステアリング支持部において
ステアリングコラムを支持するように構成された
ステアリング支持部材を備えてなる自動車のステ
アリング支持構造において、 前記ステアリング支持部材は、少なくとも前記
ステアリング支持部が、芯材と、この芯材を該芯
材の外周面と所定間隔をおいて覆う筒状部材とで
構成され、 前記筒状部材の、前記芯材に対して前記ステア
リングコラム軸線方向両側に位置する互いに対向
する部分には、前記芯材に当接する凹部がそれぞ
れ形成され、 前記筒状部材は、前記凹部において前記芯材に
接合されていることを特徴とする自動車のステア
リング支持構造。
