Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、自動車に使用されるモールおよびトリム類、
又は室内装飾として使用するトリム類(以下総称して装
飾材という。)の成形法に関するもので、特に装飾材の
本体にスキン層を有する装飾材の成形法に関するもので
ある。
従来の成形については、内部発泡樹脂材を押出成形機で
押出し、冷却装置で冷却固化しf装飾材の本体となし装
飾本体の外表面に外部無発泡樹脂材を押出成形機で押出
し被覆層を付は再度冷却装置で冷却し、被覆層を有する
装飾材を切断し端末処理機にて端末成形する。この様な
方法では押出成形の加工装置全体が高価であり、かつ発
泡樹脂材の装飾本体の外表面の表皮肉厚か大となり、軽
量化につ−て問題があった。
本発明は、発泡性樹脂材を押出成形して外表面を無発泡
のスキン層で被覆された内部発泡の装飾材を得るもので
、軽量な装飾部材を連続的に製造する方法で、予め発泡
材を混入したポリプルピレン樹脂シートを電子線により
架橋を行い、この後加熱により発泡賦形して一面仕上り
性の良好かつ高発泡倍率な装飾材を鯛造するもので、以
下実施例につ−て説明する。

ポリプロピレン樹脂シート、101:1ホットプレス装

次に、工程について述べれば、押出I/IA1より押出
された厚さ1〜10!Imの変性ポリプロピレン(重量
ブレンド比、ボリプ四ピレン対ポリエチレンか4対1、
発泡剤6〜6部を配合したもの)のシー)2tj冷却装
@3により冷却後、電子線照射装置により線量5〜10
0 Mrad  の放射線の照射を行う。放射線は電離
性放射線といい、おもに高エネルギーの電子線、中性子
線、α線、γ線、X線、紫外線、陽子線等で、架橋に必
要な照射線illは0.5〜100MrVi の範囲が
一般的であり、照射については窒素のごとき不活性ガス
會囲気中が好!:!−0 架橋されたボリプ四ピレンの樹脂シートをホットプレス
装aiioの全型111L及び11bにて加圧加熱成形
する。この場合の温度は熱風又は高周波により200〜
240°0.加圧は10〜100kg/lIIか良く、
この結果、樹脂シートの外表面は僅かに熔融し、又シー
トの内部は2〜60倍の発泡か行われ断面13に示すよ
うに内部に発泡層を包含し表面層は極めて致密な外表ス
キン層を形成し、その厚さtio、2〜2!111!1
程度となり軽量化された装飾材を得ることができる。
以上本発明の実施によりポリプロピレン発泡体に電子線
照射により架橋を行い、その後、ホットプレス装置にて
成形、加熱することにより軽量な表面致密なスキン層を
有する装飾材を形成することが出来る。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)架橋したポリプロピレン樹脂より成る成形体をモ
    ールド内で加熱する−とにより無発泡のスキン層をもっ
    た発泡軽量装飾材。
  2. (2)  架橋性かつ発泡性ポリプロピレン樹脂をシー
    ト状に押出成形され、冷却固化した後、電子線の照射に
    より架橋され、所定の長さに切断されたシート本体を、
    モールド内に収容し加熱、発泡しかつ外表面に無発泡の
    スキン層をもった軽量装飾部材の成形法0
