Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance volume efficiency and energy efficiency, by dividing a water-purifying vessel into a packed chamber and a circulating chamber, feeding air to waste water extracted from the packed chamber in the circulating chamber, and then spraying the aerated waste into the packed camber.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water in a packed chamber 5 is uniformly extracted through an extracting pipe 6 located below the packed chamber 5 formed by division of a water-purifying vessel 1 with a partition wall 3, and introduced into a circulating chamber 4. Thereafter, air is fed to the waste water through an air diffuser 7 located at the lower part of the circulating chamber 4, to form fine air bubbles 9 in the waste water and to dissolve oxygen in the waste water. The waste water is then fed to a water-sprinkling pipe 11 by a circulating pump 10 arranged at the upper part of the circulating chamber 4, and sprinkled to the upper water surface in the packed chamber 5 through a plurality of small apertures disposed in the water-sprinkling pipe 11. if desired, a water-sprinkling vessel may be arranged in multi-stages instead of the water-sprinkling pipe 11 to improve oxygen-absorbing efficiency.
