Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in fluidity and the inclusion of oxide owing to oxidation of molten metal by supplying an inert gas into the injection sleeve of a charger and the cavity of of dies. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure of an inert gas of an inert gas system 18 is boosted by means of a pressure regulating valve 19 after clamping of dies A, the inert gas 26 flows through the clearance between an injection sleeve 6 and an injection plunger 10 and is filled in the sleeve 6 and a cavity 3. When pressure air is supplied through a pressurized air supply pipe 15, molten metal 8 is forced upward and is supplied through a feed pipe 7 into the sleeve 6. At this time, the supply of the pressurized air is stopped and the molten metal 8 while in contact with the gas 26 is forced into the cavity 3 by means of an injection cylinder 9 and an injection plunger 10. Thereby, the inclusion of oxide into the product and its surface is prevented, and quality and productivity are improved.
