Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the S/N, by subtracting a signal corresponding to the 1st spectral sensitivity characteristics with narrow band detected from an output signal of a 1H delay line, from a signal corresponding to the 1st spectral sensitivity characteristics of broad band and synthesizing high frequency luminance signal. CONSTITUTION:An output signal of a solid-state image pickup device 11 and a signal via 1H delay line 12 are applied to a green signal detection circuit 13 to obtain a green signal of broad band and a continuous video signal is obtained at a low pass filter 14. On the other hand, an output of the device 11 is applied to a circuit 20 detecting a green signal of narrow band, circuit 23 detecting red signal, and circuit 26 detecting blue signal. The signals with narrow band are applied to a color encoder 29 with required signal processing. The output signal of the 1H delay line 12 is applied to a circuit 18 in which only the green signal is detected from the signal to obtain the green signal with narrow band delayed by 1H, and the signal is converted to a continuous video signal and applied to a subtraction circuit 16. The output of the subtraction circuit 16 is high frequency component of the green signal, this signal is applied to the color encoder 29 to obtain the high frequency component for the luminance signal.
