Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the temperature characteristics of crooking mode, by forming two oscillation arms from a piezoelectric quartz thin plate incorporatedly while linking them at both ends. CONSTITUTION:Since both ends of two oscillation arms 1, 2 are linked, the deformation at the basic mode is similar to the case that a lump weight is present at the center of both end fixed beams, and the deformation due to shearing distortion component can be increased by 32 times in comparison with the oscillation approximated with a cantilever. While using the advantages of a crooking mode, low power consumption and lower oscillation frequency, the temperature characteristics as well in the shearing mode can be improved. Electrodes 3, 4 are fixed to the oscillation arms 1, 2 through vapor-deposition and energized, then the arms 1, 2 make crooking oscillation with opposite phase with each other.
