PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of thermal energy to be incurred in taking out melted waste matters from a melting furnace by taking measures to cut off the furnace from the atmosphere with the melted waste matters per se which are kept in a storage tank leading to a melting chamber. CONSTITUTION:Waste matters from a waste matters supply storage section 1 are dispersed around via the lower section 2b of an external furnace circumference 2, which rotates an upper section 2a and are fed into a melting chamber 3. On the bottom of the melting chamber 3 is installed via a passage 4 a secondary combustion chamber 6 which is provided with a secondary combustion burner 5 and with an exhauster 8 via a flue 7. On the bottom of a secondary combustion chamber is installed the melted waste matters removal device 9. This device 9 is provided with a storage tank 11 of refractory which is installed on fire bricks 12 and 13. This storage tank 11 allows storage of melted waste matters in the quantity more than designated so that the furnace is cut off from the atmosphere with the melted waste matters. Under this condition, the melted waste matters, via a removal passage 15, are made to flow down to be discharged.
