Abstract
PURPOSE: To solidify homogenously complicated ground without the outflow of an injecting liquid from a zone to be injected, by injecting first an aq. silicic acid soln. having a shorter gelling time and then an aq. non-alkaline silicic acid soln. having a longer gelling time into the ground.
CONSTITUTION: When a blended liquid having a short gelling time composed of a non-alkaline silicic acid soln. (A) having a pH of 5 or below and a cement or a pH adjuster (B) acting as an alkali, is injected into soft ground or the ground where water leaks out, a coarse soil part is filled with the injecting liquid and the liquid is caused to gel. But, since the gelling time of the liquid is short, the liquid is not penetrated into a fine soil part. Then, when a non-alkaline silicic acid soln. which has a longer gelling time and a pH between an acidic pH and neutral pH and in which the value of the formula (wherein[H+] is the molar concentration of H+;[SiO2]is the molar concentration of SiO2; n is the molar ratio of water glass) is 1×10-3 or below, is injected into the ground, the soln. is well penetrated into the fine soil part and caused to gel, thus solidifying the ground entirely and homogenously.
