Abstract
PURPOSE: To devise the strengthening of the ground and the prevention of leakage of water, by injecting a chemical solution comprising a mixture of an alkali silicate, Portland cement, etc. and slaked lime, having a shortened gel time without damaging setting strength, into the soft ground, a rock bed with leakage of water, etc.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An alkali silicate in an amount corresponding to not less than 40g (preferably not more than 200g) calculated as SiO2, (B) 100W400g mixture of Portland cement and/or white cement, and slaked lime in a weight ratio of 90: 10W40:60, and (C) 1W20g calcium chloride are added to 1l chemical solution to give a blend, which is injected into an object, e.g., the soft ground, a rock bed with leakage of water, the back part of a tunnel, etc. to plan the strengthening of the ground, the prevention of a cave-in, leakage of water, etc. A double pipe method, wherein the ingredients A, B and C are blended at the end of injecting pipe and the blend can be immediately injected into the ground, is most fittest as a method of construction.
