Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out the foot protection of a hollow pile tip having improved resistance to flowing water and improvement of the ground without causing the separation of a solid from a liquid, by injecting a hardenable solution containing cement and a viscosity increasing agent, e.g. calcium carbonate, into the ground.
CONSTITUTION: One or more viscosity increasing agents selected from calcium carbonate, preferably having an average particle diameter ≤1μ, titanium oxide and asbestos dust are added to a cement milk to give a hardenable solution, which is then injected into the ground to form a cured article. The amounts of the viscosity increasing agents are preferably as follows: 1.0wt% or more calcium carbonate, 0.5wt% or more titanium oxide and 1.0wt% or more asbestos dust.
