Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a subject device which performs a recording of a better quality at high speed recording, by a method wherein, after ink is jetted, a given voltage is applied to a piezo-oscillating plate to rapidly restore a volume of a pressure chamber to its original state, thereby the size and speed of droplet are invariable even at high repeating frequency.
CONSTITUTION: A voltage applied to a piezo-oscillating plate is caused to change from a ϕ0to a ϕ1 at an ink jetting time, and in case a deformation of a pressure chamber is restored to the original shape, the voltage is restored to the ϕ0 after it is set to a ϕ2 having an amplitude in the reverse direction to that of the ϕ1 before it is restored to the original. When the applied voltage changes to the ϕ2 from the ϕ1, the volume of the pressure chamber generates a larger pressure than in case it changes from the ϕ1 to the ϕ0, and the volume of the pressure chamber changes in a manner that it gradually approaches a V3, being larger than an initial value V0, from a V2. Thus, the volume of the pressure chmber attains the initial value V0 at a faster speed than that at a time when the voltage is simply restored to the ϕ0. When the volume of the pressure chamber attains the V0, the applied voltage is caused to restore to the ϕ0 from the ϕ2.
