Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect air flow and its direction, as well as the presence and concn. of a gas at a certain point by providing a gas sensitive material near the heater of a heat-ray type flow rate measuring device. CONSTITUTION:Gold paste is baked on the surface of an alumina base plate 1 to form a pair of electrodes 5, and a glazed resistor is printed and baked between these electrodes, whereby a heater 4 is formed. Platinum paste is printed and baked on both sides of the heater 4 to form electrodes 6, 7. Next, electrodes 3 are formed by baking gold plaste on the rear surface of the plate 1. A gas sensitive sintered material film 2 consisting of lithium oxide, ferric oxide or the like is formed between the electrodes 3 and 3. This film 2 is located in the part of the rear surface of the heater 4, and changes its electric resistance by sensing a gas. When the heater 4 is heated, the heater 4 and the film 2 attain 300 deg.C and the electrodes 6, 7 200 deg.C in a steady state. Wind direction and wind flow are detected from the change in the electric resistance owing to the temp. change of the electrodes 6, 7 and gas concns. are detected from the electric resistance of the film 2.
