Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement of relative humidity and dew condensation by forming gurad-ring electrodes for dew-condensation detection and heating made of material having a resistance value required for heating around humidity-sensitive electrode members and by making a gap between two kinds of electrodes larger than the thickness of a sintered body. CONSTITUTION:Both front and back surfaces of a sintered body 11 are coated round with paste of metal such as Pt and Au or with paste of an oxide such as RuO2 and further the peripheral parts of the round-coated surfaces are coated circularly with paste of a resistor such as RuO2 whose resistance is lower than that of the sintered body 11 and which has a resistance value of about several ohms required for heating. Thereafter, baking is applied and thus humidity- sensitive electrodes 12a, 12b and guard-ring electrodes 13a, 13b for detecting dew condensation and for heating are formed. In this case, the formation is made so that the dimension l of a gap between th electrodes 13a, 13b and the humidity- sensitive electrodes 12a, 12b is larger than the dimension t of the thickness of the sintered body 11. By this constitution, relative humidity and dew condensation can be measured accurately.
