Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive to reduce the supply of medium, to make a medium supply apparatus small and as well as to effectively utilize the medium by a method wherein the medium is jetted only to the heat pipe ports of the heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: A soot blower header 21 runs without jetting the medium such as compressed air or the like from a jet ports 211 from the position of the heat pipe port 12b to that of the heat pipe port 12c. When the header 21 reaches to the position of the heat pipe port 12c, the running of the header 21 is stopped to inject the medium for the fixed duration of time. After the finish of jetting, the header 21 runs without jetting the medium until the position of the heat pipe port 12d is reached. Because the running as described above is repeated, the reduction of the supply of the medium such as compressed air or the like is resulted.
