Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the operation of dust collector in optimum state at all times as well as prevent the consumption of useless electric power by a method in which a pressure difference between before and after a filter is detected and in accordance with the pressure difference, the jetting pressure of a compressed air is adjusted to control the variation in the pressure difference.
CONSTITUTION: In a bag filter type dust collector 1 provided with a pulse jet type dust remover, a pressure difference detector 15 operating in accordance with a pressure difference between before and after the filter is provided to the dust remover 8. The jetting interval TS of pulse jet is adjusted by a control circuit 14 on the basis of output from the detector 15, or the dust-sticking state of the filter, and at the same time pressure to be supplied to a header pipe 11 is adjusted by electrically controlling a pressure regulator 10 in order to vary the jetting pressure. Compressed air from a compressor 9 is regulated by the pressure regulator 10, sent to the header pipe 11 and then jetted onto the filter 4 through an electromagnetic valve from a blow tube group 13 for removing dust.
