Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a reducing-agent-injecting apparatus described in the titled which requires no continual use of cooling water and causes no blocking of spraying nozzles, by installing, in the exhaust gas duct, apparatuses which insert power-drived, injecting spray nozzles for NOx-reducing agent into, or withdraw the nozzles from, the exhaust gas duct.
CONSTITUTION: Spraying pipes 3 for injecting reducing agent, e.g., NH3, into an exhaust combustion gas duct 11 is installed neary horizontally in the duct, and the reducing agent is supplied through a feed pipe 10, a feed valve 8, being sprayed through many injecting holes 6 made in the wall of the pipe 3. The pipe 3 is equipped with an inner pipe, through which a cooling medium is passed in order to prevent the wear of the pipe 3. The pipe 3 is inserted by means of a motor 5 into the gas duct only when the reducing agent is injected, and withdrawn by the motor when injection is not required, therefore it is unnecessary at that time to pass cooling medium. Thereby, the pipe 3 is easier to be repaired or maintained and is used for long time. Injecting direction and injecting location can be changed at will.
