Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the formation of nitrogen oxide by a method wherein tank bottom water or cleaning water for FCC (fluid catalytic cracking) gasoline and ammonium compound are supplied in combustion system.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion burners 2 (2a, 2b, 2c...) are provided at the bottom of a heating furnace 1 employing a combustion method of heating material to be heated at the furnace temperature of 400W800°C by supplying liquid and/or gaseous fuel to the burners arranged at the lower part of the furnace 1. Exhaust gas is sampled for the measurement of nitrogen oxides at the outlet of exhaust gas or pipe 4. In the structure described above, the tank bottom water or cleaning water for FCC gasoline and the ammonium compound are respectively poured in the system from the burners 2d and 2p. As a result, the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas is effectively reduced.
