Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce NOx without any installation for smoke discharge and denitrification or the like by prescribing the relation between the quantities of fuel supplied to the main burner at the lower level and to a sub-burner at the intermediate level.
CONSTITUTION: The ratio of the quantity of fuel supplied to the sub-burner 30 to the quantity of fuel supplied to the main burner 40 is prescribed to be nearly 0.1 or 1.0 in the method for combustion with low NOx wherein the nitrogen oxide in the combustion gas burnt in the main burner 40 at an air-fuel ratio of 1 or less is deoxidized in vapor phase by the combustion gas burnt in the sub-burner 30 at the low air-fuel ratio and the remaining unburnt portion thereof is burnt completely by the air from an air supplying port.
