Abstract
PURPOSE: To save the consumption of fuel for frontal burner and also of NH3 by detecting and controlling as signals the temperature of the upflow waste gas, NOX present in the afterflow waste gas, and the residual NH3 in a catalytic reactor.
CONSTITUTION: A variation in load is sent to the controller 15 as the signal of its flow rate from the vapor flow meter 14, and also the flow rate of waste gas of the boiler 1 is sent to the controller box 15 as the signal of its value from the gas flow meter 16. The value of residual NH3 in the afterflow waste gas in the catalytic reactor 9 is converted into a signal through the NH3 content measuring device 17 by the signal converter 17a and then sent to the controller box 15, and also the value of residual NOX is likewise converted into a signal through the NOX measuring device 18 by the signal converter 18 a and then sent to the controller box 15. The signals sent to the controller box 15 are compared with control data in the controller box 15 capable of memorizing fixed curves, and necessary NH3 amounts and frontal burner fuel amounts as signals are sent from the controller box 15 to the controlling valve 19 for fuel and the controlling valve 20 provided to the NH3 supply pipe to control the opening degree of these valves.
