Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate the system stably with minimum energy by a method wherein the column bottom temperature is maintained in the proximity of a preset temperature through a control based on the difference between the column bottom temperature and the preset temperature, and a reflux flow rate is controlled in accordance with a change of a flow rate in a reboiler.
CONSTITUTION: A flow control valve 13 is so controlled as to provide a predetermined flow rate for heating in the reboiler by an output from a controller 15 which is adapted to generate an output corresponding to the first feed-forward model on the basis of outputs from the feed liquid flow rate detector 3 and a column bottom temperature detector 14. On the other hand, a flow control valve 17 is so controlled as to provide a predetermined reflux flow rate by an output from a controller 18, which generates a signal corresponding to the second feed-forward model on the basis of an output from a flow rate detector 12 for heating in the reboiler, and an output from detector-regulator for column top temperature difference. As a result, the operating cost of the system can be reduced remarkably.
