CONSTITUTION: Load (the total amount of SO2) is detected by means of a heavy oil flow rate detector 21, the value is inputted to a function computing element 22, and the computed signals are given as the set value of an exhaust gas temperature controlling system. That is, the flow rate 8 of heavy oil and the flow rate 12 of air are adjusted by means of regulators 7, 9, 11. Accordingly, the treating device can be operated so that the temperature of the exhaust gas of the outlet of the reheating furnace is kept in response to the total amount of SO2 in the exhaust gas.
